the more you use the PIIA and the like silicone wipers the better they get as they transfer the silicone to the glass one there it makes wiping and it easer in light rain to see it is a long break in period if in a dry climate

I am still using same stockers that were on it when I bought the truck new almost three years ago. 137244km on my truck. I am amazed to be honest. Normally I change mine once a year, but these things keep on keeping on. Through all kinds of ****** Canadian weather.
I'm still using my stock wipers as well. 2017 bought in July 2017. 78k miles and 3.5 years in the south texas sun, and the blades still work fine. My truck has never been in the garage, sits outside all year long. I'll eventually replace them, but being that they still function as needed and arent falling apart, I dont see an urgent need to.

Mine chatter sometimes with 60K km's( 36K mi) on my '17 Sport. Frustrating it is. Have owned since new. Original wipers they are.

Mine on my 16 are just starting to get to the point that I would like to change them soon.
However they were the factory all weather wipers not the standard wipers - have to try to find the part number for them.
I wonder who actually made them?

Did you change wipers and if so was that the problem?

After checking some of the other recommendations from this thread (cleaning them and checking to be sure it is indeed the blades causing the chatter...), I went with the Bosch Icons, since I've had good experiences with them on other vehicles. Just used the new ones for the first time this morning. Crystal clear clean windshield and utterly silent operation.

I spent a little more than I would have to buying them at my locally owned Napa franchise, but they take way better care of me on large parts orders than Amazon ever did. I still remember the days when you could replace just the rubber "refill" for less than $3/ side, so I take no pride in saying I was under $50 for the set of Icons...

I use Rain-X blades. Nothing worse than a worn out blade. And most people don't change them regularly. Put them on your Amazon Subscribe and Save for delivery every 6 months, change them when you get them and you'll never have to deal with crappy blades and smeared windshields again.

Based on recommendations in this thread, just ordered the PIAA wipers (and new nozzles). I’ve tried most all the others so figured why not.

I'm still running the Michelin wipers I bought at Costco summer of 2019, they will be 2 years old in June.
$7.99 each but they go on sale for $4.98 each several times a year.
They're holding up very well considering they are in the sun year round in 110° heat and low 20's in winter.
They're tough to beat at that price.

Regardless of brand or money spent, here’s a trick to make them last longer and work better.

Spray WD-40 on a clean rag, pinch the rag on the wiper blade and thoroughly clean the blade. Firm pressure will help remove the tiny tar balls and other dirt that causes those annoying filament-like streaks.

cheers
Do not do this. Wd40 has no place near your windshield.... Realy near avehicle at all. But definitely not on the wipers

I don’t know about Aquapel, but if you drive at night, I would rather put oil on the windshield than rainx. Streaks, blurry headlights through rainx, and if you do not care for it, you can now remove it. That is just my experience, yours my be different. Like everything else, some like it and some don’t.
Sounds like you need a lesson in his to properly apply rainx. Lol

That was my experience with RainX as well. When I’ve used their blades, I’ve felt like they left a film on the glass with a similar experience. I also get that when I pay for the upgraded car wash that sprays the wax on. Can’t see through the windshield for nothin’ after that.
Rainx needs to be buffed after application just like wax.... And you can wax your glass also.
They work perfect when applied properly

I just bought the Bosch Icon 22A/22B set for my 2014 from the jungle place. I put them on yesterday but compared them before doing so. I’m not sure that I didn’t get a mis-boxed set because I compared them very closely and could see no difference at all in the curvature between the two blades. I’d like to hear from someone else who has popped for the 22A/22B to know if they could see the difference.

Apparently MOPAR lists the same part for both sides? Next time I’ll save some $$$ instead of spending a few extra dollars for the 22B passenger side blade.

Like some have said here; I buy the Michelin's from Costco and really like them. The set I have on there now has been on there since mid 2018 and they have just started that irritating chatter sound! I have a new set of Michelin Guardian's that will be installed today.

Sadly, all of the various Costco stores I visit sell 16” to 21” blades. My Wrangler uses 15” and the RAM wants 22”.

I've never noticed the difference (full disclosure I don't think I ever put much thought into it).

I went from the factory ones to Bosch icons. They were good. Sold the truck got it back with some rain x ones. They are ok. I’ll be going back to the Bosch ones soon. I hate not getting a clean wipe. Wiper blades are like toilet paper. Go cheap get poo on your hand. Buy premium toilet paper get a clean sweep. It’s worth getting something that gets it clean IMO.
