My 16 limited cc 5'7" RamBox came with a Bakflip MX4 on it when I bought it. I learned once it got warm out that I was missing the prop rods and clips to hold the cover in the full open position. So I contacted them and they sold me prop rods and clips without any issue. I supplied them the same pictures of what I had and hoped they would see if I needed anything specific. After receiving the rods and clips I found that they don't include the ball stud to mount the prop rods and the clips don't appear to attach to the cargo rail like I assumed they would. Even if they did come with the ball studs I can't find installation pictures on a RamBox and it doesn't seem to have a specific mounting hole for it. I'm sure I can "make it work" but I'd rather do what I can to replicate the way they came. Any chance someone could snap a few pictures of theirs so I could mimic it when I get the chance.

Here's what I've got. The clips appear to only snap onto the cargo tie down. Which sucks because that means it has to be in a specific spot to clip the rod. I normally keep the tie downs in each corner to tie down dirt bikes, if this is the "correct" spot for the clip that means the tie down point has to be just forward from center of the bed almost. And unless I make a bracket to have the rod come inward about .75" - 1" to clear the latch tab to the cover when the rod is rotated back to the clip.

I think it would be the same as the G2 if mine wasn't a RamBox. From what I'm finding, the covers for RamBox use the cargo rail that came with the truck. Instead of having the tonneau cover rail clamp to the bed rail. So mine doesn't have that rail for the ball stud to bolt into and clip the prop rod clip onto it.

Hmmm, mine came with plastic P clamps to hold the prop rod. They don’t work very well.

Man that's enough to irritate me. I kept meaning to check YouTube at home or on my phone when I had time and kept forgetting. I don't have access to YouTube at work so I checked BakFlips site for videos and they didn't have a RamBox video. I'll have to email Customer Service again and ask for those brackets for the prop rods and clips.

You can make your own. They're just a plastic electrical clip riveted to a small bracket. I just installed one of them on my 2009 Ram Box today.
