Roof top tent on PW

Slide in camper has become prohibitively expensive for me, so we are now considering a roof top tent. I have an ARE fiberglass top on my PW (2018) and was hoping that would provide sufficient support for the tent. Unfortunately, I didn't opt for the rack when I had the top made. I really don't care about voiding the warranty, but I want to know if it will support a tent and two people. If you have a tent on your PW please chime in! Also, any roof racks available for the 2018 PW?

I cant speak first hand but I just googled RTT on ARE cap and a bunch of stuff popped up. Good Luck.

I would double check with ARE about putting a RTT on there. Some of those canopies cant hold that kind of weight up top with out some kind of support. I was looking at canopies but changed my mind for that reason. Im looking at Leitner design rack now.

I have an ARE top also. Added Yakima tracks and cross bars. I had an aluminum 2x2 inch frame that sits in the bed edges and is flush with the roof of the ARE cap. The setup started in my 2015 Ram 1500 and the frame sits the same in the 2020 PW. I will be getting a new cap but will be setting it up the same as I had in the 1500. I have the Tepui Altuana which is the biggest one made that sleeps 4 on paper but 3 in real life. No stress marks, cracks or any issues in over 5 years and alot of use. Cap is holding perfect
