Hey guys, new here. I am looking for a 4in lift for my w100. Rough country has on that fits an 86-93 w100 but I don't know what the difference is between a 85 and 86. Can anybody give me some insight on this. Thanks

You may want to contact Deaver springs, they are experts in lift springs for straight axle trucks. I’m surprised there’s actually any premade kits offered for trucks that age. RC is a budget brand. My personal experience with them is not great.

I have no idea why they would differ between 85 and 86. I recycled the front main leafs from my '90 into a '78.

I would look at basic 4" front springs. Some form of steering correction, and a shackle flip for the rear. You may need longer driveshafts, and clearancing of the front CV. tough to tell until the lift is in.

Cool thank you guys. From what I can tell they are completely the same. Called rough country, (what a joke). And they said axles was different in 85. I got Dana 44 so it should work in my eyes. I gotta make sure the steering spacer is a 3 bolt, but I think it is

The CAD disconnect system appeared around 86. It's a different axle housing.... Same leaf springs.

I would opt for a different steering correction. Those 3 bolts are difficult to deal with.
