Reposted from 3rd Generation. Got no hits.

Yeah yeah yeah, another headlight thread. Got my 2008 1500, with oem head and fog lights. All are sun damaged so looking to upgrade. Ive about gone nuts looking at the different lights, so ill throw out the requirements:

Looking for bright. LED is ok.

Dont need neon glow, LED flash, CCFL, DRL.

Would like to replace OEM fog lights with something close to a driving light.

Would like a headlight where low beam stays on with highs. Probably mean OEM with a good LED bulb is out, but this is not set in stone.

What say you?

The high and low beam is controlled by your trucks brain, not the headlight or housing. I recommend LED for your fog lights, they'll give you a bright white light instead of yellowish. I use my fogs for running lights well into the night before I remember to turn on my headlights and you can run them at the same time as your heads, just not on high beam. LED's if done right will give you much more light than incandescent bulbs, but you might consider other upgrades in the housing instead. Good luck

I have these on the way from Anzo, produced in the USA, they're LED and projection H3 (which I'll swap out for LED).
These were just delivered, Z Offroad driving lights, they're ChiComm, but get rave reviews, we'll see? There construction is very impressive though.

Any reports on how these are working out? I keep reading alpharex good, morimoto bad, and visa versa. Keep thinking I'll go with an oem style in black and led it, since theres no real consensus on a good projection type.

What say you?

They're working awesome so far, no fog and fit perfect!
The driving lights get nothing but great reviews and now I know why.
I will be upgrading the halogens to LED's on the headlights though, the halos are LED, but the H/L beams are halogens.
They're bright, but nothing compares to LED's though IMO.
