I just ordered new rims and tires, here are the specs:

Backspacing: 4.52
Offset: -25
Wheel Diameter: 20
Wheel Width: 10
Hub Bore: 87.10
Tire Size: 35x12.50x20

I am trying to figure out what the minimum size lift i need to run the specs for those wheels and tires?

I am about to pull the trigger on the MaxTrax 4.5"/3" 2wd Lift kit with Fox Shocks but now i am having second thoughts because of some wording on the MaxTrac website:

It says the following:

WARNING:

  • MAXTRAC SUSPENSION DOES NOT ADVISE USING WHEELS WIDER THAN 9" OR WHEELS WITH LESS THAN 4.5" BACKSPACING. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN VOIDING ANY AND ALL MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES
So my new wheels backspacing is 4.52 and maxtrac says no less then 4.5". Obviously 4.52" is more then 4.5" but its such a close call that i am not sure if there will be problems or not. What do you guys think? Also it says to run 9" wide rims, but my new rims are 10" wide.... again is this going to be a problem?

If the above wheel/tire setup is a problem for the MaxTrac kit, what kit would you suggest that will definitely be compatible with that wheel setup?

May need some plastic trimming. That one you won't know till you get the tires on.

Yes ! It will be a problem when it comes to warranty ...if anything breaks on the lift kit or say the springs are defective they are going to blame it on the width and back spacing of the wheels like they did on my lift kit ... my front end has sagged more than the usual and they said it's because of my 12" wide wheels and the -44 offset ....

Honestly bro ..I would go with the 7" lift kit and if you don't like the way it looks with the 7" then you can go back down to the 4" and then back up to the 7" later on if you want to ...

But yes, it "will" be a problem because of that warning they have on their site ...believe me ..I posted pictures of them telling me over email and on instagram .... they "WILL NOT" honor warranty with anything wider than 9" wheels ...

I am running 20x10 - 33x12.50.20 and -25 offset with 2” level on bilsteins. It will rub my mud flap in certain situations but otherwise works great. I would think another 2” of tire and 2.5 of lift would be a good combo.
