Big Bend National Park in March on rough rock and mud trail I picked up a nasty pointed rock about 3 inches long. The tire didn't go flat until we were on solid pavement 20 miles away in the middle of Nowhere Terlingua, Texas. Ding goes the dash and up comes the tire pressure screen. Its fun to watch the pressure drop as you pull over to the side of the road. Part of the rock was still in the tire. As I mounted the spare I realized that my brand new truck has a freaking donut spare, totally useless if I were towing the RV. Tire was repaired at Diego's Tire Repair in Terlingua TX. But long distance towing on a donut spare looks like a bad idea, so I started looking for a full size spare tire and wheel for my 2021 with 6 studded wheels. Its proving impossible to do at a reasonable price. My friend owns a tire shop and the best he could find was OEM for $500, for just the wheel. He said something like the new Rams have weird rims.

How do you like the Terra Grapps in the XL version? They are my next tires after I run my Generals down a little more. The Nittos are 15lbs less per tire. That’s a lot. Definitely excited.

I loved them on my 1500. Good in the snow and were quiet, a lot better tire than the OEM.

I worked at a tire shop for years. Found some crazy things in tires. One time it was a screw driver that went in handle first[emoji23].

Wow! I hit a big bolt in the rain and running 60. My SRA tire went down fast. I barely had enough to get off the road and throw a jack under it. The SRAs and GM's LS2 tires are awful...

*****. I sold my set of brand new SRA’s the first week I had the truck. Got $100 a piece, $400 for the set which I quickly put toward the General Grabber ATX’s that are on it now. Wife thought I was crazy. She has no idea.

For a while we had a judge in Houston that handled littering tickets by giving people a choice. 6 hours picking up trash on a Saturday, or $1,000 fine. Most people took the trash pick-up. I suspect many changed their minds about littering and letting trash fly out of the truck.

You never know what's going to bite you. I posted up what the tire shop pulled from the goodyear wrangler SRA on my 2019 Ram 1500.

I heard a *TING* felt a shudder and the left rear tire went flat in under 10sec.

The mechanic brought it out to me in disbelief. Said he's pulled a lot of things from tires over the years, but never a hitch pin. The tire was junk of course.

On my first vehicle, a 1963 Willys CJ5, I picked up a railroad nail. Not one of those little ones that hold the track to the wooden tie, but the one used to secure the wooden tie to the ground. I think that thing was about 2 feet long.

Well unfortunately you have some real DumbFuc^$ out there that just throw shi# in thier trucks with no thought or care.. The crap flies out (trash) over the top or rolls down the bed and out under the tailgate..
Unfortunately we pick it up in our tires or see it on the sides of the road.
I just cleaned out in front of the property and after cutting the long grass, was faced with all the garbage,,cleaned up over 30lbs of other peoples trash!

I wish they would get rid of the fines for littering and go with mandatory jail or vehicle confiscation! maybe it would teach these losers to give a shi$ about their country! but I doubt it...

My man, thanks for the good thoughts. I pick up maybe 50lbs a week. Even boxes with names and addresses. Sometimes I get my wife to save what she gets out of the cat litter box and ill send it to them in the same box I picked up with note keep your trash at your house.

I once pulled a pair of scissors out of my 93 Bronco's tire... Other than that it's been the usual job site kinda things... Nails, screws, bolts...
