Black where the chrome was, ALWAYS seal all lights with RTV sealant before installing. They all leak eventually 4384939a30e7aee3776e6d6429b0ce2a.jpg

Where do you put the sealant at? Almost all the led lights in my light bar are out. I think water got to them. The bar is supposedly waterproof too!

Usually you want to seal both ends of a light bar, also where the wiring comes out of the housing.
If it's the type that uses a front frame w/lens to seal the bulbs makes sure all the little screws on the frame are tight, and run a bead along those seams too.

Why do you refer to Plastidip as priceless? I mean, neato product. But if it's priceless, what uses am I missing?

I use the appropriate color (usually clear or black) on the seams where the manufacturer 'gooped & squished' the two pieces together. You will usually notice several spots where the sealant isn't adequate or actually missing. Seal top, bottom & both sides. Do not seal any vents unless your truck is going snorkeling. The vents are a looped rubber tube open to allow condensation to escape/evaporate. If you can't seal w/o making the fixture look bad ... don't.

I will this weekend. I got a few touch ups to take care of first[emoji16]
Instead of plastidip ( doesn't stick to Chrome or chrome cladding) I use the bed liner stuff. Anything with kevlar in it, that stuff sticks to anything and it won't chip,

Nothing is waterproof. There are various levels of water "resistance" only.

I used phenoseal to seal the entire lense and end caps and wire hole. I disassembled everything, carefully applied massive quantities and I still had a few get water inside. It was always the wire hole.

When actually installing them on and under the truck, the wire gets pulled, twisted and the seal is broken. (Phenoseal stays pliable, like silicone) and it gets pulled out of the hole. I never saw it until they failed. This is what you get when buying a cheap set of LED lights. Replacements will be Rigid.
Hope this helps.

I always heard that a duck’s ass was waterproof. No?

You remove & replace the two brake pads, the gas pedal goes over the existing one.
Thanks for clearing that up. That is what I assumed. I am hoping to get a brief break from this rain. We are flooding here.
