Good to know thanks. So they're holding up pretty well too then?

Picked up the 2017 Rebel wheels today to put on my 2009. They removed the TPMS sensors so I need to get new ones. The ones on my truck have the metal caps holding them on but the Rebel wheels have the rubber ones with a screw holding the sensors on. Lots of aftermarket sensors out there. I've only used OEM ones in the past.

Rebel wheels have this type.

Went for my 1st real off roading trip since it’s been lifted. Was a mud trail that brought me to a nice little pond. Just wanted to find a muddy trail and found one. Probably a little to much for my 1st time and a little challenging but made it through. Forgot to turn off the traction control. The Hemi exploded with the power it should’ve had. I almost got stuck a few times with it ...
Cool pictures! Do you have Limited Slip diff? Just wondering...

Gave her a bath, quick spray wax and a shoe polish. Inside received the usual treatment and is quite new looking again. You’d never know this is a 2017! Love my truck. Anyways, that’s my excitement

Yes, I needed to turn it off in the mud to get the engine full, power to all 4 wheels.
Yeah, it helps to turn off Electronic Traction control. LSD, on the other hand, would help mechanically transfer the power to both rear wheels. Not all trucks have that. That's why I asked.

Let mother nature rinse off the mud from the dirt road. Nice piles of mud at the parking spot at work.

Another lifted regular cab... I love it. What lift/suspension are you running? I just lifted mine 2 weeks ago with the MaxTrac 7” kit with the Fox Racing 2.0 Shocks and I love it. I’m going to be doing the MaxTrac UCA’s in a month or so along with the Core4x4 Tier 3 kit for the rear.

So my new Milwaukee Cordless Brushless polisher showed up today along with a XC6.0 battery.

So I removed the bedside vinyl stripes and my hood stripe.

The hood stripe was made by 3M and although it was EXTREMELY hard to pull off, it came off clean with zero glue or residue left behind.

As for the cheapo eBay bedside RT vinyls, when I took them off there was a solid layer of glue/residue left behind. No amount of scrubbing combined with Goo Gone Extreme or Lacquer Thinner would remove ANY of the glue left behind.

Here is what it looked like.

It looks terrible.

So I took a trip to Bell Mawr NJ to pick up the best detail compounds and products sold anywhere; Xtreme Solutions. They have chemists that make the unique formulas instead of rebranding others ingredients.

Anyways, I picked up over $200 worth of detail stuff as my supply was running low. Here is a picture of some cut/polish compounds and a wool pad and a blue polish pad. 20dfe2e9c138f74ef58f541c8fb99ef8.jpg

So I used some LVR 426 Cut 1500, a heavy duty cut and got to work with my new polisher. What a mess!!! It did get the glue up, but the cut compound mixed with the glue and stuck to the paint. So then I had to remove that with the Goo Gone and it was a combination that worked. So cut with Cut 1500, then wipe down with Goo Gone. Repeat. And this was the outcome:

Once again the sun has burned my trucks paint into a darker shade of red. 5yrs of this vinyl being on there and this is how much damage has been done. It’s crazy.

So once I finish the other side tomorrow (ran out of time) I have to rewash the truck, clay bar the entire truck, then wash again, then I can start cutting the entire trucks paint to correct all the imperfections. I’m going to use the LVR 426 Cut 1500 on the entire truck and then spot cut any bad spots with the LVR 305 Wonder Cut 1000. Then finish it all off with the LVR 367 Ice Polish. After that I am going to apply a coat of the Xtreme Solutions Poly-Seal Hybrid Polymer Spray Sealant to give the paint an extra layer of protection. I guess I’ve neglected my trucks paint pretty bad and now I am seeing the effects of that. I am not usually like that, I use to detail my vehicles 2-3 times a month but somewhere along the way I stopped. But I am definitely keeping up with it more now that I got a new polisher and refilled my Xtreme Solution products.

Also waiting on new badges for the doors and my replacement cover from BakFlip has still not shipped and I’m getting really mad now, the original one was delivered 12 days ago and I still don’t have a cover that fits or is usable.

I'd be on the phone every day with the cover people demanding either the cover or a refund.
They already have your money and you have nothing.
