I didn't get much done this weekend. It rained all weekend. I did get this in. Waiting on my Adams ceramic coating to come in today. I also finally figured out the factory style radio and I am really loving it! It really made the truck feel more modern.

Its here. Now lets hope Sunday all the rain goes away and I can knock the clay bar and ceramic coating out. If it works as good as the reviews I have seen the garage queen Charger will get it next week. I have two small swirls on each mirror that I need to clay out.

Awesome! I just placed another order for Adams swirl and scratch remover. I don't really need Chemical guys V36 so I went with the V38 and then I got a upholstery brush. I am going to go old school and get some tuff stuff going on the seats. You can tell kids have been hauled in the back seat lol.

Another lifted regular cab... I love it. What lift/suspension are you running? I just lifted mine 2 weeks ago with the MaxTrac 7” kit with the Fox Racing 2.0 Shocks and I love it. I’m going to be doing the MaxTrac UCA’s in a month or so along with the Core4x4 Tier 3 kit for the rear.

Thanks man. Running Rough Country 4" with Bilstein 6112's set to just over an inch (don't remember the increments off hand). BDS 3" coils in the back to replace the spacers and BDS relocation brackets. Core Tier 3 control arms and track bar and Hellwig sway bar. And Icon rear shocks. Have run Fox and they were good too. If I had it back I would've went with Zone or BDS with coilovers but I can't really complain.

Yeah I've seen your truck, looks real sharp too!

For me it’s what I’ve done this week MANY times…. The pollen is brutal. No rain so I could use a detailed but still. dfec3c93c612f883658f87d38b7e7cc6.jpg

I'd be on the phone every day with the cover people demanding either the cover or a refund.
They already have your money and you have nothing.

Well to be fair, I did not purchase directly from BakFlip, however they approved my replacement over 10 days ago and I havnt heard a word since so I am calling them first thing in the morning.

You do not use a clay bar to remove swirls. Clay bars and clashing a vehicles paint is used to remove small contaminates in the paint such as bird poop that won’t wash off, rail dust, metal flakes, road paint, tar and asphalt splatter, bugs, etc. swirls need to be removed with a cutting compound and then finished off with a polishing compound.

Thanks bud, still a bunch of changes I need to finish over the next week or so. As for your truck, I did not know it was 4wd, you have many more kits to chose from versus my trucks 2wd. The kit I got seems to be the best available. It rides pretty nice and looks awesome.

I FINALLY got tired of the leather seat cover coming loose from the front of my passenger seat on my new-to-me ‘14. I’ve had this truck since January and the seat cover plastic “retaining rail” was off of the lower front of the seat structure when I bought it. I’ve stretched it down and snapped it into place twice now only to discover it had come off again a week or two later each time.

This time after putting it back into place I drilled four holes through the plastic then through the metal seat structure and cinched heavy zip-ties through each hole. The outer holes are about 1/2” in from each edge and the other two are evenly spaced between them. I’ll be back to let you all know if this finally fixed this issue.

I thought I was the only one who had this issue, mine pops off constantly. Interested to hear how it works out for you and maybe a pic at some point.

Just received my MX+ and Alpha and activated my trailer brake module - now to install the electric over hydraulic unit on the trailer.

When did everyone have to replace their batteries? Mine is a 2015 with only 27,000 miles and the last 3 times I have tried to start it, I have had to jump it. Time for a new battery? I dont think its the alternator, because it wants to turn over but then just runs out of juice and clicks.

You are ready for a battery, mine is a 2016 and I am considering one before it dies.
If you have a voltmeter, check the battery voltage before trying to start it.
Sounds like a battery but could be a something draining power or just sitting too long - I would start with a battery.

Do what you want but if I have a battery that's 5 years I will replace it regardless, in my experience after that they can start fine one time and the next time you try it it may be completely dead.

What he said!

The AGM batteries seem to last only 4 years on average. More expensive but less life. Kinda figures. :(

These trucks do not like weak batteries.... I’ll be changing mine every 4 years regardless.
