Pulled my the cabin air filter on my 2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn.

I want to replace it but when I Google 2018 Ram 1500 cabin air filter several options come up. Not too many of the listings have the actual dimensions of the filter given. Pricing varies from $9.99 to $39.99. (Forty bucks? Sheesh, it's a piece of folded paper.)

So what are your recommendations for a replacement cabin air filter for my truck?

I just use the cheaper Napa filter. Pull the old one out around Thanksgiving & put a new one in before the trees start to bud out in the spring.

K&N has a washable one available for 35 to 40 dollars . I bought one for my truck about 5 yrs ago it is holding up very well, also got one for my wife’s car we share the clean recharge kit ,that’s also still holding up material wise.

I just walk into O'Reillys & tell then that i want the WIX charcoal Cabin Air Filter for my 2016 Ram
I don't even care about the price
If you ever saw what a A/C Condensor looks like when you don't run a CAF, you would not care about price either.

I heard that the Fresh Breeze CAF is also very good

I went with the WIX charcoal filter this last go around. It neutralizes smells well and is really hefty and think, so I think it filters well. Someone else posted that K&N makes a permanent washable filter, I will definitely look into that once my cabin filter needs to be replaced.

I've used the WIX w/charcoal version, I guess the help with absorbing smell.

For those interested in the K&N VF2013 washable air filter
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NEL75GO/
and be sure to use the correct recharge kit for the cabin filter: K&N 99-6000
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KWQPHFL/
an FYI the Gen5 trucks use a different size cabin air filter, the K&N part# VF2065

When i bought the CAF for my 2016 big Horn
as i said i bought the charcoal filter

I have not used the A/C yet

I just quit Smoking about 2 weeks ago

I think that i will smell smoke for a period of time.
I can already smell things that i don't recall smelling before

I will be saturating the intake vents with Odor Eliminator to start with

Rent or buy an ozone generator. I eliminated the cigarette smell from a custom van interior with one running it twice for half hour each time. You can buy a fairly inexpensive one for about $80 on Amazon

I had to change the evaporator on my 2009 and I learned on this forum that I could add a cabin air filter to my truck. I got the K&N and it was super easy to add since I had the box out but others have done it in the truck and it's totally worth it. Especially if you want your air conditioning to work efficiently as you can see how dirty my evaporator was.

I'm surprised to see leaves or other debris in people's filters as there is a fine mesh screen on the air intake. Maybe they don't have that on later ones.
