First off I've posted a couple threads recently and wondering if that annoying to anyone? I'm just trying to participate in the forum and show my experiences...

Anyways this was my first maintenance wash with finished product and how I got here...

I used my new simoniz 1650 pressure washer (active ve51) and thought it did a great job for what it is out of the box. The accessories are complete garbage and I have an upgrade kit on the way of hose gun and cannon. I'll also be getting some QCs for all connections. I used adams car shampoo for my soap and adams CS3 for the finish and I'll tell you why later. During the wash I found it crazy that while dirty and spraying the car down it was like the paint was literally pushing the water away lol. Also everything just glided on the paint so easily like the wash mits and microfiber towels while buffing.

Ok the bad part. The day I picked up my truck I had it oil sprayed and to this day I am still getting oil seepage and its driving me nuts. The reason I used adams CS3 is because the morning after I could see the areas where the oil was still kind of getting all over and making things look faded/blurry. After going over the entire truck with the CS3 I'm clean and happy. I haven't figured out what I want to do next year for the oil spray service now dammit. I'll probably ask for the dripless and see if that makes a diff.

I did order extreme solutions "Topper" that hasn't made it in yet and I can't waitnto try that out and show the results. .

Your threads and posts are not annoying at all to me. I am glad you are doing it...it helps people out. We can see what works and what doesn't work as well.

The truck looks fantastic. It is definitely like a mirror finish. I detailed mine also, but looks bad now. Too many gravel roads around. Mine seems to hold the dust on it more now that it has a good coating to it, but it does seem to rinse off alot easier. I literally just used the garden hose and it beaded up great and took most of the dust with it.

Im not annoyed at all. I also had a few places on my wifes Pacifica that did the oil thing you described. I havent noticed it on my ram or charger. Truck looks good! I am so over this rain so that I can clean mine up. Its amazing how it works. I was watching it run off the truck this morning as I went for coffee.

The ease of care is probably the best part with the look being right there at the top with it. If I were on gravel or dirt I'd want it for sure...

I forgot to mention I used a leaf blower to dry the truck and all the water just flew off. I did take a couple vids that probably suck but I don't know how to post them. In time I'll get better with maybe some vids and better detail on what I used and how I liked it.

When the Topper and the accessories come in I'll do another maintenance wash and post up about it.

Also if anyone knows how to post the vids I'll do that.

How do you get the box of the vid to show up on here?

Vids detailing and youtube are not my thing so sorry they didn't really turn out that great lol...

Good **** !!!! Makes thing easier lol ..

Just a tip if you decide to make more videos .... record them with your phone sideways instead of up and down then you can get full screen videos ....

I had my new truck (28 mi.) rust proofed at the dealer (no oil spray) when I bought it. Then, when I bought it from lease I had it undercoated at the dealer. Hopefully it won't rust for quite a while.
