I’m unable to see the pn on the housing due to the bracket but Googled and 68273292AB populated. So pretty much I just need to flip the key way from the fog light harness that connects to the fog?

There is a two-way connector that plugs into each fog light. Remove the wires from each connector and reinsert them in the opposite positions that they are currently in (the wire in position 1 goes into position 2, etc)

Thanks for everyone for your help!

Wires switched on the connector and it worked like a charm.

Baja Designs_SAE Foglight_close.jpg Thanks to M2 Mods for the foglight front and connecting harnesses for my 2020 Ram 2500 Tradesman. Worked out well with the addition of the OEM headlight switch which has the cargo and foglight toggle on the face. See attached Picture. Used Baja Designs SAE Amber foglights (LED) kit for RAM.

Ok, I’ve got all of my required parts now. Note the part number for that simple light switch with only one wheel - to dim the instruments. It’s 68373903AB - 001. You can see the other bags with their part numbers on them.

mpgrimm2 - Thank you for everything. Finished the install over the weekend and the local dealer did the programming for free yesterday. Looks great and everything worked very good.. I will not lie, it was a ***** with BCM, but the local dealer programmed the lights for free. Here is the finished product last night - just after dark... Thanks for everyone's input on this forum thread - it was a great help.IMG_2673 2.jpeg

This post is intended to help us figure out what extra fasteners we need - BEFORE we crawl under our trucks. You can see that each fog light assembly needs 3 screws to secure it into its housing. They make the fourth opening an indexing tab so you cannot possibly get the light in upside down. That housing? It needs 4 fasteners to secure it to the metal of your bumper behind the opening.

I came up with a set of M8 fasteners for the housing and simple #6 metal screws to hold the fog lights.

This means that you’ll need a set of 4 fasteners for each side; 8 total, along with the 6 screws to secure your fog lights into the existing pieces on your fog light housing.

None of these fastener parts is present on your truck and none comes with the parts we’ve listed as required to complete the job.

I’m sure that MOPAR lists these small parts and that they could be added to this thread for a complete parts list. However, I’ve got a great industrial fastener place down the road and I’m headed there over lunch. More photos to follow.

Note also that mounting the bezels themselves has already been treated - using the existing t-bolts that secured the block-off plates to your bumper before you made the upgrade.

Djcwardog,
Don't forget to identify the bolt/screw lengths, as well... ie M8 x 20mm

The routing for the harness between both lights, has anyone done it in a cummins? I see no where to install the clips. Can I assume this is in front of the intercooler?

Making progress. You can see where the harness snaps into the brackets on the truck. The connector snaps into two closely-spaced holes just above the left fog light. Then you run the wires up.

Now we’re running harness wires up and back, under the hood. The new harness is set up to attach the grounding spade connector at a factory ground location right next to the fuse box.

Here’s where you connect the ground.

7FFC07B9-8F9C-4C79-B2B1-A89D57FB7005.jpeg
In this view, the left side is the top. The ground under the truck is at the center-right side. My finger is pointing to the rubber grommet that you simply push inward. Do that and run your new wires through the opening in the firewall you just exposed. Working now from inside the cab, I pulled in on the rubber grommet to gain more room to work. I felt resistance then a sudden release. (See below). Use a screwdriver to make a hole in the grommet and snake your two wires in. Be sure you snake them in from the OUTSIDE of the grommet, heading inwards. Now you can press that grommet back into place to re-seal the firewall. If you felt a sudden release, you probably made the heavy cable move, like I did. It had popped off of a u bracket securing it away from the hot engine. So, check under the hood to be sure that you re-hook it to the metal u bracket that holds onto a rubber cylinder on a short portion of that cable.

Here’s all that’s left to do. Pull out connectors C1 and C4 from the BCM and insert the two wires as marked. Once I finish that up, I’ll use AlphaOBD to tell the BCM that it now has fog lights to control.

Connector C1 is top left. C4 is partially obscured at top right in this photo.

Now I’ve got the installation work complete. I’ll code it tomorrow to finish up. Following tips here, I pulled out all three of C1-C3 and then pulled the harness away from the BCM to release the tree clip. Pop the tab on one side of C1 to slide the cover off. New wire pops right in the open slot waiting for it. I left this all down while doing C4. That one is harder as everybody notes. The trick is to get a toolbox to sit on right outside the truck so you can lean in and look up. I was able to use the iPhone flashlight and get the new wire into C4 one-handed. Reverse the process and hook it all back up, being sure to reinsert that tree fastener to hold the thick C1-C3 harness back on the BCM case. Now I can zip-tie the new harness to look OEM up there. I used Bright Earth LED H11 bulbs with yellow tape wrapped on them (tape strips come with).

Got the AlphaOBD work done over lunch today. Success! A few changes in AlphaOBD since the last time I did this. Remember to look for “Car Configuration Change” as a drop down under all the diagnostics you can do. Then you can type the word “fog” into the “Find” box and see all the hits for entries containing this word. Whereas before we simply selected “Front Fog Lights Present” and “Yes”, now it’s more complicated. That entry is only there for LED fog lights! So for my analog retrofit (never mind that I’m using aftermarket LED bulbs though!) I found the CBC entry that said that the pins C1:1 and C4:13 were “On” for the Body Computer. Same result, et voila!

Hello! I have a 21 Tradesman, do I need to replace the switch too? Looks like if I press on the knob it turns the fog lights on base on the icon I see on the dash gauge

If your light switch is not split across the center like the one shown earlier in this thread, then you need a new one.
