Since you are leveled, I can only assume you adjusted ride height in front?

My guess, you might have a sticking e brake on one rear wheel. Or you need to road force balance tires or last if you messed with rear control arms or driveline problem such as a bad driveshaft or a Pinon angle problem.

I would start with simple before moving on to complex.

Are you feeling it in the steering wheel or is the whole truck shaking? Check the front end components and make sure everything is tight and safe

Thanks” I am getting the shaking in the hole truck compartment shaking on the wheel shaking in the seat shaking in the pedal legs even on the passenger side throughout the cabin is shaking I thought the new set of wheels tires from a smaller size would fix the shaking but that did not happen so first I guess I will go get a road force balanced done. But first thing Wednesday morning 9 AM I’m going back to the dealership and explain the shaking issue that I have that he believe my swapping out the aggressive tires which stop the shaking but that’s not the case I’m shaking all in the cabin and the faster I go the more I’m shaking

Two different sets of tires, maybe it isn't balancing but road balance is the way to go, even an ounce of weight can cause this or potentially fix it. Did this ever happen before the level? This happened right after the level? It isn't a big surprise this happens when you look at the ****** suspensions we have. Did you upgrade Upper Control Arms? Tighten all steering and suspension pieces down there, jack tires up and see if there is any shake to them. The driveline or driveshaft is a known issue as well.

Thanks this never happened before the level. Yes this happened right after the level and the new set of tires and rims I am mediately started experiencing shaking at speed of 65mph No upgrade on control arms just a basic 2No upgrade on control arms just a basic 2.5 leveling kit. Going back to the dealer 9 AM Wednesday morning to discuss the shaking issue just picked up the truck today 4:30 PM test drove the truck nerve-racking driving me crazy Hope I can get to the bottom of this I am going crazy make me think why did I ever ever touch the truck. Thanks for all your help hopefully I can get to the bottom of the shaking my 2018 dodge ram 5.7 hemi 32,000 miles. Lol I probably just put another thousand miles on it I lost a few pounds with all the shaking test driving the truck.

I would take service manager for a ride and make certain he understands the situation. Sounds like an out of balance issue , I’m sure they will put their most experienced tech on it , not. Do not leave without going for a test drive with the service writer. It sucks when they lie to your face .

Check run-out on new wheels at the rim........in & out.......up & down.
Possible bent or bad machining on new rims.
If you had access to 4-more wheels/tires off another vehicle & take for a test drive would be ideal.

Here are a few things that you can try.

Make sure they removed the retaining clips that hold the rotors in place. The factory wheels have a cutout that allows for the clip. Aftermarkets need a flush surface.

Might also look into hub centric rings if the mounting hole in the wheel is larger than the hub.

But like others have stated. Start with the simple things first.

Yeah.....like said above if the wheels aren't hub centric
Or have hub centric rings then it doesn't matter how good the balance is

Food for thought this morning I went to see two technicians at two different truck shops concerning road force balance they both said that would not help with my shaking possible could be in the aftermarket rims and tires and did not want me to spend money that would not help the cause of the truck shaking so I went back to the dealership and explain everything to them truck is shaking 65 miles an hour in greater Dealership pretty much said it was nothing that we can do the rims are good the tires are good brand new Mount it on correctly rim tire maybe recommend taking the 2 1/2 lift spacers out going back to stock rims and tires which I no longer have them but pretty much said I’m one in 1 million that is experience issues with shaking after changing two sets of tires on the same rim still having shaking issues Dealership said they do lifts and levels all day thousands of them day in and day out I understand that but why is my truck shaking at 65 miles an hour 75 in greater no one can seem to figure this out I guess I’m about to light a match I’m going crazy here any advice will be greatly appreciate it truck rides great up until speeds about 65 miles an hour all greater I’m shaking!!!!! shaking and the faster I go the more it shakes I’m almost at the point I need to take everything off go back down the stock rims tires get rid of the leveling kit go have a Coca-Cola classic and sit down very stressful trying to figure this out any device Shaking!!!!! Need help

Thanks for the advice I will start with the simple things . I believe it’s got to be in the wheels rims tires somewhere causing the shaking speed of 65 or greater. Very nerve-racking haven’t even had a truck for 45 days will continue to fight to get to the bottom of the shaking thanks again

@Champ1414 I merged your two threads since they were the same topic in the same sub-Forum, no content was lost. Good luck with your issue and let us know what the answer was.

You arent one in a million. A quick search and you will find this is very common. If none of the simple solutions work then I would find a good 4x4 shop that is experienced with aftermarket wheels and tires. I would stay away from any shop that says a road force balance wont help. Find a shop that will ride match balance them. That is where they measure the lateral runout of the rim and tire then rotate the tire on the rim to offset the runout. I had a 1500 that did the same as yours. A good balance can make a world of difference.

I had my rims powder coated and the shop that did them didn't coat them evenly so they shook pretty bad at speed in excess of 55 mph. I took it to 3 different places to get them balanced and each place was worse then the next. I finally took it to Discount Tire, where they do Road Forced Balancing, and that did the trick. Smooth as glass even at 100+ mph. Now I have glue residue all over the inside of my rims from each try, but at least they're finally balanced properly.

I've had the same problem after going to oversize tires on my 2500. I went from a 275 70 18 to a 295 70 18 on my stock rims. I had vibration issues at speeds above 62mph. They road forced the tires and it went away for awhile, but came back a few weeks later. There were so many weights that on some of the wheels it was hard to tell if some fell off. I don't off road with it.

The tire manager (Big chain tire store) ordered a few more tires and got the weights reduced, but some vibration remained. I ordered a set of Centramatic tire balancers and the vibration was gone. Rode smooth, just like it did with the factory tires and the 2.5" front lift.

After 1 year the tires were rotated (and rebalanced) the vibration started again. They kept blaming it on me and the truck. The first time the truck had 17k on the odometer and I had it in for an alignment cause I removed the front lift kit. Nothing was found to be worn out, needing replacement.

The big chain tire manger unloaded on me how he spent all this money replacing some of the tires and it was only me complaining about vibration. He said my tire/wheel combo weighed over 100#s and I'd just have to live with it! I offered to take him down the interstate so he could experience the issue, he declined.
Since I had an upcoming oil change and they also had a road force balancer I'd let my dealership have a go at it. The dealership said that some of the tires were way off and one of them would not road force out, but when the tech took it down the highway the vibration was reduced from his initial test drive.
Now the Centramatic road balancers for the Heavy Duty only balance up to 6 oz and does not solve for every problem the tire/rim combo may have. (Quoted to me from the manufacturer.)
The wife agreed the truck rode much better on our 750 mile road trip. The dealership tech mentioned it could be the rim or the tire. I bought a slightly used factory rim off of Used Carparts.com and brought the truck back to my dealer to have another crack at the balance. Another $50 and the balance was better, but still not in spec. When I went home I noticed my water bottle stopped vibrating on the center cup holder by the floor. It was the right side (front) tire/wheel that was giving us the vibration.

My take it is the tire and not the rim! Nothing to do with the leveling kit! I can live with the small amount of vibration I have and I'll never go back to the big box store where they either don't know how to use the road force machine, or don't care if the tires are stacked with half a dozen weights on each rim! I got another year, maybe 2 left on these tires and I may change the brand as well! Currently I have the Cooper XLT3's.
I will not go back to the stock size as I like the look of a bigger tire filling up the fender well opening and the added traction of the AT tire along with the extra ribbed sidewall to protect it when I get too close to the curve when navigating my way around a busy/small intersection in the city since the heavy duty doesn't turn on a dime. I tow a 5th wheel camper and sometimes I get on soft gravel, or mud and the wider tire is a plus too! Yeah, I'm down a little gas mileage wise, but it's not all about gas mileage. I still get 16.5 on the road at 75mph without the camper.

Good luck getting it sorted out!

I feel for you. I'm dealing with this right now. Got general grabber ATX's in stock size (no lift) and the vibrations were horrible. Had 3 out of 4 tires replaced under warrantee over 2 months but it still shakes. Blew out a front strut from the vibrations of the heavy tire. Had to go to a mom and pop tire store to get help and get it even close to drivable. It started the day I got the tires so I know it is the problem. I have an appt on Monday for a full set of new tires. Will have to eat the $1k on the grabbers but I can't stand driving the truck over 50 mph and was ready like you to burn it to the ground. I've heard that some tires just don't like the RAM alignment specs and just won't run well especially on the 20" rims with stock tire size. Best of luck on getting it resolved.
