Im looking for a DPF Delete kit for my 2015 3.0. If there isn't one I'm interested in installing an electric exhaust cut out before the filter that way i can open it to get the sound and little puffs of black smoke lol, but still be able to close it and have no codes or inspections issues. Is doing such a thing even possible? Do the filter back kits make any decibel change? Im looking for a better sound and a little smoke when I'm pissed and need to pass someone.:flipthebird:

I figure id install the cut out before the DPF and pipe it back in after the filter which from there is straight piped. Will there be any issues since flow is now opened up in both directions and meeting back after the filter?

What do you guys thinks my best option?

I'm no diesel expert, but I'm gonna say that you should avoid the idea of a cut out. I am not aware of any deletes made for the 3.0L. I have heard the 3.0L DPF back exhaust, and there is not much of a sound difference. It may slightly lower your EGT's, but I can't assume by much.

With 240 HP, you'll probably obtain 'better overall results' by upgrading your speakers and moving to Colorado!! LOL!!!

Rolling Smoke Diesel is so far the only one I know of that makes the deletes. And they were just released a few days ago I believe.
But please don't go around blowing smoke everywhere... Leave that to the college kids with mommy and daddy's $$. Makes us oil burners look bad! Dot get me wrong, I love seeing 2 long black trails behind my stacks on my '01, but not out in public. Lol

Hey, we all gotta be young and dumb at some point. I just had to learn at an early age when it's acceptable. I just turned 30 on Friday, so I'm not too far away from him!

I'm 26 and I've always hated the black smoke. It litterally provides no advantage to performance and does nothing but give diesels a bad name and a reason for the EPA to go after them.

No advantage? Without the smoke there is no diesel performance. Diesels can run clean and make power to a certain point, but eventually you gotta throw the fuel to it to get that massive crank swinging! Lol
But I totally agree... It just makes us look bad when you're out doing it in public.
My '01 will drive around town like a stock truck all day minus a little puff here and there to get the massive single turbo spinning from a stop light. But it needs fuel to light that sucker off at the strip!

3.0 eco diesel
GDE, HD diesel supply, Sasquatch and quite a few others make a delete kit for a 3.0 eco diesel. GDE has a off road hot tune that will help performance but it leaves the DPF filter in. I’m about to remove my DPF and block all the egr stuff because my DPF filter is almost completely stopped up and I’m not spending any more money trying to get it unstopped and I definitely ain’t putting a new one in.
