Hi all
I'm new, From ITALY

I have a 99 RAM 5,9 v8
It's my dream own it, here in italy it's very rare, but I need more horsepower.
I have also a Jeep ZJ with same engine 360 v8, and it's very fast 'cause is lighter.

I see on summit or jegs ready engines 360 with 320 hp, so i can swap it. But it's will cost a lot with shipment in Italy and Customs fee.
It's a good idea or maybe its better (and cheaper) to work on my engine with cams or other kits?

I ask to you because no mechanics here know this engines, they are used to work on boring small 4-cyl engines. :)

Thank you a lot

Those engines are no different than your stock engine. I am not sure of your emissions laws in Italy but I would see first if you are able to get away with aftermarket parts and upgrades like PCM tuning and headers. That's the better place to start

Unfortunately no. Stock cylinder heads and camshaft. The 320hp rating is from using a different intake manifold and a carburetor

I would check you country’s regulations on such things and go from there. The basic upgrades popular in America are a set of short headers, a larger throttle body and a PCM tune. Assuming that those are not an issue in Italy, I would contact FRPTuning about the throttle body and tuner.
