Ness should work, the kit comes with fork clamps. 39mm is size you need.

Interesting thread. Been riding for about, ohhh, 40 plus years now. Offroad, street, did a little roadracing, etc. Bikes have come and gone but the only streetbike I have left is my antique 99 Daytona. Love this thing and bought it new in August of 99...

Started riding when I was 18, Honda 350 only because it was what I could afford. Next at 19 I had a Yamaha 350 also because it's all I could afford. Got married, had kids and no bikes till my kids grew up. Got a '95 Harley Dyna Glide in '98, a '98 Heritage Softail in '99, had till 2013, sold and got a 2000 Harley Ultra Classic till 2017, sold and got a 2013 Harley Triglide. Keep that till 2020 and sold it because of one of the closest calls in my life. Not saying I'll never have another but it will absolutely be a Harley. People say they aren't great bikes but I put 100,000+ miles on them over the years and never on the side of the road once!

I always used the heel shifter to keep from marking the top of my boot. I personally liked it.

I was very nervous about the heel toe shifter at first. Now I can’t go without it. Lol

oh yeah, me too....but that first ride.....was like whoa.....course the bike was huge compared to the beemer I traded in.....400 lb bike nimble as a bicycle to a 700 lb streetglide....yeah I was a little apprehensive to say the least........now I'm on a switchback, perfect for me......I haven't pushed it like I did the 2006 1200.....don't plan on it either......it truly is a putt putt for me these days.

Currently have 4 motorcycles in the stable.
- Harley Vrod Muscle
- Harley Sportster 1200C
- Harley Street 750 (wifes)
- Kawasaki Ninja 650 (sons)

We took a trip down to TN this past spring. Towed all 4 bikes (among other stuff) down there and some of the shots below are on the Tail of the Dragon. Back then my son had a Kawi Vulcan 650S.

Never had a bad moment with the 1200. I had. From that to fat bob, then the bmw k100.
(1986). Finally the 08 street glide. Now the 2012 switchback. Waaaaaaaay back out of high school a kawey 550 gs.
