Morimoto XB LED Headlights

Hey guys I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Sport. I received my headlights assembly’s and within the first day or the being installed I noticed my low beams flash on and off then they stay off. The truck says it has a low beam out. But when I use my brights all my lights come on. Does anyone know what the problem is? They sent me new resistors and my truck rejected the TSB update.

If your low beam will stay on with the ignition on but the truck not running, I'm guessing the problem is with the CANbus error detection.
You might have to use AlfaOBD to set the headlights to LED type

Set them to HID to remove the pwm.

In AlfaOBD go to Car configuration 3 High Intensity Discharge Lamps Present. Set to YES.

He'd have to remove the resistors after enabling HID with alpha though wouldnt he? I just purchased alpha and waiting for my obd plug to come so I can enable my hids and remove the resisitor.

Hi Guys, (sorry for my english, I'm french...)
I have a similar issue with my 2015 RAM 1500 Sport.
I had HID OEM Headlight and I installed le Morimoto XB LED.
I aslo have the resistor as asked by the manufacturer for a 2015 RAM.

The issue is I have a error with the turn signal. The computer ask me to replace the bulb.
No error with the headlight.
When I drive by night, after 15 min, the headlight turn off during 5 seconds and turn on again.
After 10 min, same thing (Off and on...)

Apparently there is no problem with a 2014 RAM, only 2015 (I didn't try 2016...)

Unfortunately, I had the very bad idea to sell my OEM headlight...

Die you hear somthing about this problem ?

Unfortunately the 2015 model year is more particular about the type of lights used in the truck, some of the other modules in the truck are specific just for the '15 model year.
As for the turn signal error, you might need to use resistors on those also. They make a plug in dual resistor for the turn/running lights. https://undergroundlighting.com/products/3157-plug-and-play-resistor-stops-hyper-flashing-errors

I saw on this doc that, effectively, the 2015 ram is different than the other years :

I hope my dodge dealer will be able to change the voltage.

Hi everyone,
just for information, I finally succeed to resolve my problem with the Morimoto XB LED on my 2015 RAM. Below the procedure :

1 Tensions control with wiTECH :
check that the low beam tension is 14.0V (14.2V for high beam)
• BCM / ECU Details / Configuration
check Left Low Beam Voltage Regulation and Right Low Beam Voltage Regulation
If tension OK, nothing to do and go part 2.
Else, go in :
• Diagnostic Procedure / Vehicle View / Restore Vehicle Configuration
Then clear DTCs

2 Setting of LED with OBD Link MX and AlfaOBD.
Car model : RAM 1500 (DS/DX)
Function : Body Computer
Control unit : MY 2013-17 PowerNet
Select procedure to start : Car configuration change
Options :
- CBC features – LED Low Beam Lamps Present : YES
- CBC features – LED High Beam Lamps Present : YES
- CBC features – LED Front Turn Lamps Present : YES
- CBC features – LED Low Front Park/Marker Lamps Present : YES
Save
Once the configuration has been saved, wait 5 min before disconect de OBD Link MX.

Mine is a 2015 also, I changed all light settings to led and also changed headlight setting to hid with AlfaOBD,No problems

Hello, probably a dumb question , do I need wiTech or can I solve my turn signal issue with alphaOBD ? im having issues with my new morimoto xb turn signals , I made a post about it this morning.
