Currently have 4 motorcycles in the stable.
- Harley Vrod Muscle
- Harley Sportster 1200C
- Harley Street 750 (wifes)
- Kawasaki Ninja 650 (sons)

We took a trip down to TN this past spring. Towed all 4 bikes (among other stuff) down there and some of the shots below are on the Tail of the Dragon. Back then my son had a Kawi Vulcan 650S.

I always liked the VRod Muscle personally.
Better than my old man's NightRod special anyway...

Yeah, the carb ones were the worst, I wipe them with a little bit of baby oil, Armour All has too much silicone for long term use

I feel your pain...
Most of my miles are riding to work but working 3rd shift it's been low 50s and high 40s when I leave the house at 11:30 pm.
Doubt it's going to get any better from here on out but maybe I'll still get a nice Weekend ride in...

Hah! I'm not overly worried about waking the neighbors---you should hear my truck!
On the bright side- the deer all know I'm coming and get off the road.

Wow, 1st time I have seen this thread on this forum, so guess I'll chime in. 2006 Honda Gold Wing 1800 (1832 cc) motor, has a Motor Trike Kit, standard options with a few extra things I put on it. Trike kit is a 2015, bike has 52K on Odometer.

just put on your long cuff battery powered heated gloves
And full face helmet with cleats in the soles
Tuck some news paper in behind the zipper of your jacket

Oh, i forgot, the Honda Riders put on a full winter suit & plug it into the power supply on the dashboard

My brother back in Connecticut, used to ride his Harley from Watertown to Naugatuck every work day, unless the snow got too deep.
I never rode in the snow, but some nights, i looked for some newspaper before heading over the hill, i had long cuff gloves, a good riding jacket & goggles when i was younger

I've got about an hour commute and when I leave for work, it's still dark out.. so my cutoff to ride in is that the current temp, at work, has to be atleast in the mid 40's and getting upto atleast the high 50's for the ride home. With my current gear (nonheated) I can handle those temps for the ride in without being too uncomfortable.

So while my riding chances become considerably less in the winter months.. I still do manage to get afew days, here and there, to ride.

I'll be up close and personal with my 824 toro next week.......golf season winding down and all......get the shed ready for a ''drive in'' bike retreat and then a little jack lift and trickle charge plug in to hibernation....weight off the tires is key for shock longevity imho.

On the older Honda, there is no Power Supply in the Dashboard, fairing wateva. Harley's had the 12V in the Fairings. On the real New Honda's I do not know as my bike is a 2006. I did put a 12V power supply in the left front pocket and also wired in a BlueTooth stream amplifier/receiver to receive signals/sounds from my I Phone (over Bluetooth) like playing Pandora and put the sound out the MC speakers.

Joisey, nah, only Northern Jersey Boys talk like that. I am from da "Shore", but down here (central TX), unless real cold, I ride year round. When it goes below 50, that slows me down as I have a good Joe Rocket Jacket and Gloves, but I find as I get slightly older the cold does not like me so much.

Classic Americana...
old school.1.jpg
And old buddy of mine passed away a few years ago.
I'd always admired this pic of him on his new 1949 Hydroglide Panhead.
He and his friend ( on a 47 Springer) on their way to work at the John Deere plant.
Another guy on the back of a 3rd bike snapped this pic on an old box camera. It was summer 1950.
After he passed his wife sent it to me...
