Mine was, more or less, a show truck... Considering it was driven 9,800 miles in 3 years. Yep, mostly for show! Lol

My new 2021 Warlock had no engine cover from the factory. The top rear grommets are there, I did not look farther but the big cover is simply not there.

same here 21 warlock no cover with grommets
read here a few cases of engine cover rubbing the wiring harness causing expensive problems which is a great reason to get rid of it in my opinion
also dont care for extra plastic so win win here

I can only imagine what the top of my engine would look like after the dealership serviced my Ram last time, IF it did not have the big engine cover.

Which ever Tech worked on it, he spilled motor oil onto the area all around the oil fill tube
If the cover had not been in place, the oil would be in all those nooks & crannies.

For all i know, there may be oil under the cover too
I have not checked it yet, i don't have much energy these days

GT are you still not back to good health? Unless I am mistaken, I could swear you were sick or something a while ago. Apologies if I am confusing you with someone else :)

Pacofortacos.

I began having breathing issue back in February 2020, when i went into the hospital for influenza.
I was in there for 5 days & they tuned me loose with a breathing machine, inhalers, nasal spray & pills.
Not being able to walk much without running out of breath
The circulation in my legs was affected & i developed ulcers in both legs.

The good news is my right leg has healed completely
My left leg just has a month or two until it heals completely

I can go to a large grocery store & walk around without having to use the cart for support on most days :)

The best part is, i am seriously considering going back to work for a few more years & i just turned 78

Well I finally pulled the plug and decided today was a great day to remove that hunk of plastic and the fresh air line lol. I ended up going to Autozone to get what I needed because they were close. For those who want to do this and like the look of the stock intake better than having a massive engine cover then I added a couple of pictures to this to help with doing this "delete".

The first picture is the bypass caps I used. It comes in an assortment and I paid $4.99. You will need the biggest one in the package and plug the intake port where the fresh air line comes in. It is a tight fit but will fit snugly.

The second picture is a Spectre breather and cost on this was $8.99. They come in all sorts of colors, I just picked red. On the fresh air line there is an elbow that attaches the line to the oil fill tube. Remove the elbow from the fresh air line side and stick this Spectre breather in it. It is also a tight fit but will be snug as well.

This was very easy to do and I love the way my engine looks much better then it did before. I will eventually clean up more of the mess under the hood, but for now this is a good start. The only tools you will need is a flat blade screwdriver to remove the intake tube and then pull the Hemi engine cover off. That's it..
I like it. Will probably do it to my truck this weekend.

Well i took mine off and it looks better and should let heat out faster. after removing it. i see it attaches to the intake. that cant be good over time on the plastic intake as it ages. maybe i can sell it?

GT, glad to hear you are on the mend and I hope your recovery continues! That's been a long battle that's for sure and I hope that you can get back to doing what you enjoy doing for several more years. Isn't 78 years old the new 50 ? :)

My mind seems to think that i am younger
My dreams are still about partying & riding Harleys with all my friends
& my 1956 Chevy 1/2 ton that was 100% stock, when i bought it in 1971 & i sold around 2009
The only thing that was not modified on that Chevy was the sheet metal, nothing else was stock, even the frame was 2/3rds Chevy truck & 1/3 Chevelle front clip.

My leg sore will be closed by New Years, that will be nice after having an open sore for most of a year.

I have to make an appointment with a Lung Doctor, if they can fix that, i will be able to work on muscle strength in my legs & arms
Doctors didn't let me walk, my feet had to stay elevated
