Looks great. Great looking truck - now and then. To be honest though, the Chrome doesn't stand out as much on white and silver cars. It seems to blend in.
I agree. Darker color vehicles it really stands out.

Black-out is so played out. Black wheels, "if" they look good or OK its only when the vehicle is sitting still and viewed in close proximity. Other than this when moving or from any kind of distance they look like dirty brake dust wheels. Just my 2¢.

Whenever someone get a black vehicle or a dark grey, there is a tendency to completely black out the Chrome. I admit that do like that look. It give it a more tough vibe. You even see it in movies.
I did the black out with my previous dark grey truck and the comments were mixed. Now that I have this black one, I'm not sure whether I should do it to this.
Right now, I'm just feeling that the all blacked out look is sort of over done in a way.

Thoughts?
I love the chrome but I'm old school admittedly!

Not dissing on anyone's vehicle because it's just an opinion but the blacked out look makes me think of a funeral or government owned. For me some chrome just gives one a shiny clean look. Nothing looks better than a clean shiny black vehicle with shiny chrome wheels!

I blacked out my 2018 I’m happy with it but I feel like I should add in a certain color theme into it.

With my truck I kind of did my own thing. I took my stock chrome clad 20s and removed the chrome clad cover cleaned all the glue off. Had them PC'd and then got a aftermarket center cap and added a mopar sticker. My emblems are also hand made by me. I agree that on higher end trucks or vehicles chrome looks great! Mine is just a Lonestar SLT basically. Boring on the inside. Once it got hailed on thats when I went crazy making it how I had wished I had bought it. Cost half the price too. The only thing else I want to do is get some white mirror covers. I want to get a sport grill too, but white ones are NA to find used. Thats what I love about customizing in general. Everyone has their tastes and preferences. You can make it look sharp with chrome or look sharp with black. As I have said many times before its your truck. You pay for it, so do what makes you happy. You have to drive it not us.

When I purchased my 2017 Night addition, the only chrome on it was the exhaust tips. So I replaced them with a set of Carven black tips. :)View attachment 476410
Sweet! Same here, ‘18 Sport Night. Just swapped my tips for 5” Black. More betterer.

Don't know about chrome vs blackout but when I ordered my 2021 Longhorn the choice I faced was body colored bumpers or all chrome. Not a hard decision because it was pay Ram a couple of hun to paint the chrome or keep it. I kept it and am glad I did. Get all kinds of compliments on the truck.

Some trucks look great blacked out but in my case of having a black truck I love the Tungsten pkg. on my Limited. Chrome is too shiny for me, I like the dull brushed look. I'm considering brushing the wheels and re-clearing them in the spring.

maybe pick a secondary color theme to go with it, I went blue... did vinyl overlays on decals tailgate, grill, steering wheel, did bed gifs and tailgate, added sport gifs to hood, and it's name STITCH.... I also did blue over the 5.7 Liter fender badges... left enough chrome to break it all up....and not to overdo, just to accent....
I used Rich at TVD Vinyls for all my stuff...

Black it out if you want it to look plain and then no one will look at it twice

I have a '15 white w/chrome...I blacked out badges, black hood deflector, will probably black out the grille, but leave the chrome bumpers...eventually get black/machined wheels. Bumpers are just a pain.
