What tool should I buy that will allow the TPMS thresholds to be changed?
I'd like to run my tires at 50 psi without the bells and lights going off. Any suggestions?

Have you tried it yet? I dont think you have to worry about it. I run my tires about 40/42 psi and I've never had any issues with lights.

I'm waiting on the aev procal snap to be available when they get some more chips. Does TPMS, and adjusts the speedometer for around $150. It's goes down to 24 Psi threshold. Doesn't have to stay plugged in either. Max 42 inch tires if it matters.

I have one and it can go down to 35psi which ends up triggering the light if you hit around 28spi (supposed to be 75% of 35 which is 26.25psi but they trigger before that) at which time you need to pump back up over 35psi to shut the light back off. It is a little annoying if it gets really cold out and psi drops down below 28 and it triggers the light but still better than how it is factory. Funny thing is AEV has this warning. It is imperative that you set your psi to the psi indicated on the sidewall of your tire.

Wait....all I see there is that you can get 442 miles on a full tank of gas. Holy bat wing I'm doing something wrong.
pretty common to get close to 500 miles on a fill up.

Mine says 250 around town and 315 if I'm all highway, but it's also not adjusted for tires and says I average 8.5 mpg city and 10 highway. You don't buy this truck for gas mileage. You buy it for fun.

not me I like the good mpg to go along with the fun. I am only running 35's so that probably helps. My speedometer and odometer are spot on. If I were only getting 8-10mpg I would sell it. I am lucky tho for some reason I got the econo mode in mine and in over 16000 miles have never gotten under 12.5mpg even driving 80mph. I run 87 octane and fill up at Cennex stations when possible. out west Cennex has the highest gas standards per my buddy who worked for 30 years at the bulk mixing plant where every brand was mixed.AC5B388F-E6B1-4129-A001-64B0051C3BEE.jpeg

Once you own a Power Wagon, you can never sell it. Only upgrade to a newer one. I may be buried in mine. It is definitely the best truck I have ever been in.

I used Alfa OBD to set them on my 18. I went down to 35psi TPMS and run my tires at 50psi.
New tires and wheels goin on tonight so i will use it again to set that up as well. Have been very happy with Alfo for making changes. Not always the easies but lots of info on the web to help.

Taking the first long road trip with the PW at the end of the month to Breckenridge CO. Look forward to those gas prices. our 87 is $3.20 here in MN

not me. I bought mine new a bit over a year ago and it is ok but nothing I would ever say I would be buried in. Buddy just sold his 2020 PW and bought a new Duramax 3500 and it is sweet riding truck with a ton more power and he is getting 20mpg. My neighbor has a Ford SD with 7.3 coming any day now and that might put me over the edge as I have owned Ford trucks since 1977 and can see myself in a Tremor with a 7.3

Suggest running much lower than 50 psi on them if they are 35's. Carry chains and purchase and check fitment prior to getting to Colorado. The parking brake cable is the only issue.

It's not that I'm concerned about the Power Wagon getting stuck, it's the Colorado traction law. Heavily enforced for truckers on I-70 from Dotsero to Morrison, Colorado. No law enforcement will ever check your Power Wagon unless you've been involved in a wreck of which isn't difficult with lots of rental cars sliding around from Denver to the ski resorts. If you're non-compliant one can't say whether or not you're insurance company would cover your damages and/or lawsuits.

"Under a Traction Law, all passenger vehicles must have either snow tires, mud/snow tires or a four-wheel-drive vehicle. A Passenger Vehicle Chain Law, the final safety measure before the highway is closed, requires every vehicle on the road to have chains or an alternative traction device. If you fail to comply, you could be fined more than $130 and more than $650 for blocking any lanes."
Thanks for the info. That is part of the reason for the new tires before we leave. The stock Duratrac tires are on there last leg so I'm ready to step up to 35" before the snow flies. I have new AEV Salta ready and I'm going to try the Goodyear Ultraterrain AT's which are snow rated. I hope they do the trick with our snow and ice here in MN as well.

I used a TazerRam to adjust my TPMS setting to 29 psi on all 4 tires. If I air down for off-roading, I get the low pressure warnings. But, as soon as I get above 29 psi, those warnings go away. I run my tires normally at 45f/40r.
