Some follow-up night pics of the Smoked clearance lights. Initially wasn't sure how well they would light up compared to the clear lens I had, but in reality there isn't that much of a difference.

I do like the fact that they stand out less in the day time and flow with the metallic black pearl paint. Might do the tow mirrors' turn lens smoked as well :waytogo:

Thank you Sir :waytogo:

I certainly get double looks and compliments as the sun starts to set, the amber lights really pop. Especially with a bit of fog we typically get these late nights/early mornings.

Always a challenge finding that balance of "not too much", "but just enough" as with any mods. Too bad I cant get any HP out of them, lol.

Coming up will be adding a few more amber lights on the trailer, for esthetics and safety. :waytogo:

I installed a cabin air filter in mine the other day. Sorry didn't take any pics but I found this video on YT and followed the steps. I cut out the hole for the cabin air filter using my multitool. Took maybe 15 minutes. The links to the parts on his this guys video description.

So, I did a thing... two things actually: First, I replaced the stock antenna with a 4.8" shorty. Got it from Amazon: Raito 4.8" Antenna . I know many people have not been happy with a shorter antenna, but I can not complain at all on this. The radio station I listen to the most in the morning, used to drop out (HD or analog mode - either way), or a station in Mexico (as near as I can determine) would stomp all over the station I was trying to listen to, whenever I'd drop into a valley, as the sun was rising. This was infuriating. So, I looked at several shorty's, and found this one. I ordered it, fearing I might have trouble with it, but could always return it. Well, not only did I NOT have trouble, it FIXED all the issues I was having trying to listen to the radio in the morning. HD doesn't drop at all, the station comes in clear (even in analog mode), and that pesky station is Mexico hasn't peeped over the one I listen too once. So, very happy with this antenna.

The next thing I did, was get some tire paint and fill in the OWL on my tires. I like an aggressive look and this takes the cake! The paint is permanent, and you need to apply three coats total over a couple of warm (but not hot) days. Got it from Amazon as well, but you can order direct from the company as well: Tire Ink from Amazon or Tire Ink Direct.

Here are some pics of the antenna and the tires:

Since she's a lawn ornament while waiting on cam/lifters, figured I'd change the tranny fluid. Only been a year and 7K miles, but it was pretty dirty at previous change so better safe than sorry (65RFE). It was about the same this change, magnet was covered in fine dark silt. Using Red Line C+ and this time a LubeLocker gasket which worked great, highly recommended!

I did a major cleaning this week. Washed, Clayed (the lower half only), sealed with TW Ice Seal n Shine then topped with TW spray wax. Used VRP on the Tonneau cover. Treated the leather and all the interior surfaces too. Zaino on the leather and 303 on the dash etc. Used Repcon on the windshield. It's an aviation product I got back in the 80's and it works great. Lastly, I put some rust reformer on the trailer hitch which I will topcoat later today.

Today - new tires. went with Michelin Defenders. Goodbye Goodyear...

I installed the MICTUNING Latest Q1 RGBW LED Rock Lights - 8 Pods Underglow Multicolor Neon Light with Wiring Switch Kit Bluetooth Controller Remote Control Music .....

I did 1 per wheel well, two behind the grill and 1 on each side right underneath the cab centered with the RBP Stealth Power running boards ... I wanted to tie the 2 underneath to the power steps but read that not having all 8 pods connected to the control box could burn out the rest ...

So far I fawken love them, they are the RGBW so they have true white leds and we got them for $129 per set from the mictuning website not amazon but I think they went up to regular price now ...
