Some idiot tried to steal my truck with a screwdriver. Locksmiths wouldn't touch it so I had it towed to the dealership for repairs. 11 months go by with excuses like waiting for parts and short manpower I had it towed back home.
The dealer did put a new immobilizer in the truck but the most recent locksmith told me the "skim" is not compatible.
Longer story short it starts for about a second and then shuts down. It was explained to me as a security issue. I know I can't be the only one this has happened to. I would certainly take it to a shop for repair but everyone I call is slammed with work. Any Ideas?

Pull the SKIM to verify part number is correct. If it is, as long as it has never been used anywhere else (has to be new/reman) it should work fine once paired to your keys. Right now your PCM is locked, so either SKIM was not properly initialized to PCM or your keys weren't properly paired to SKIM.

Who would I call with the equipment to initialize and analyze the system? Are there mobile diagnostic mech's?
What sort of equipment is involved? It's not like disconnect the battery and count to 100.
I'm way in over my head on this one.
