Last couple times I've drove mine after about 5-8 minutes it sputters/dies but then starts back up. Today it did it and gas gauge went from half tank to 1/8 tank when it did it and after checking mileage 1/8 tank seemed right. I'm thinking fuel pump is about to go out. Yall agree or?
I would suggest making a separate post for this. That being said, I don’t think a bad fuel pump would cause your fuel gauge to act wacky like that. The pump and the fuel level sensor could have a shared connector that is loose or harness shorting to them both. Are you getting a check engine light? Another possibility is bad evap canister creating vacuum in the gas tank and starving the engine of fuel. I will admit that I have not ever pulled the pump out on my truck, so maybe there is something about that assembly that I am missing.

Finished up the kill at in the interior, new stereo next, along with the new dash install. HVAC stuff is assembled and ready to go in.

Exactly as the title states! What did you to or with your second gen ram today?
Saw a similar thread in the 4th gen section, and a similar on different forums and thought heck why don't we have one? :D Please follow forum rules when posting in this thread so it doesn't get to wild in here :) Pics of said what you did today welcome as well!

Today I started it for the first time in a few days and returned it to its usual sitting spot. Had to move it to the street when our firewood for winter showed up :D Let it idle for awhile after to charge my battery, it was getting a little low!

What did YOU do today?

Yesterday my 98 tried again to commit suicide with the run-away acceleration. At least that is one way to keep me driving slow.
Anybody got idea why my old truck wants me dead?

Did the front brakes on the wrecker yesterday and then drove up to Fredericksburg tx to get a 1st gen Cummins 2wd auto with 120k miles. We also ended up buying their Toyota. The owner died and widow was selling it off to a good home only for reasonable prices. Ate some good Mexican food in Fredericksburg with my dad on the way back.

Also sold a front bumper to a guy in la vernia tx off one of our parts rams. All in a great day.

i could use a drivers fender
We've got two 2nd gens rn with good driver fenders one silver and one red. You can find our ads on San Marcos tx cl. Find my number there or see the number on tow truck. Well cut you a deal since you're part of the best forum around or darn near free when we're about to scrap them. You do have to take the stuff off yourself though. Merry Christmas and your truck looks awesome!

Darn I think shipping costs wouldn't turn it into any kind of a deal for anyone lol! Freight isn't cheap! If you have a gooseneck or enclosed trailer and can make a trip get with a me a few months in advance and I can get you whatever parts you want or need.

Has anybody possibly come into the issue of your truck having a hard time shifting? This is in regards to automatics. I ran my truck bone dry of transmission fluid. Added some in, and it’s been holding for like a week now. It is a little overfilled. But when it’s having a hard time shifting and I fight against it, like if I press more onto the gas pedal a popping noise from under the truck happens. I do have a lot of front ens steering problems and my transmission pan is leaking. There is a check engine light on but know where I can go can you get the codes. I don’t know if something is up with the electrical connections or what. Previous owners of this truck definitely put it through H**L
