Finalizing some products for my Rebels winter refresh and as to not loose my lifetime warrenty with the air suspension I don’t want to do BDS/AEV life. I’ve spoken to a few members on here about the PA/Daystar 3” body lifts and have a mechanic friend who can help me as well. My only question about this is the crush block welding… are people welding this themselves? Or is it needed? Seems I’ve talked to a handful of people who installed theirselves and havnt mentioned welding ability… maybe we have more welders here than I thought and I’m behind the learning curve.

Thanks in advance whoever can help answer the crush block welding question on their install.

I did the Zone 1.5 BL on my warlock. Never put the cush blocks in and I even have a welder... I beat the tar out of my bed and have had no problems.

I did the 3" PA and put the crush blocks in, never welded them... I totally forgot to weld them... I have 20k miles on, have done plenty of high speed trail runs and got plenty of air on two occasions.

I just now checked to see if they were even still in there, they haven't even moved. I might weld them now that I read this thread, but based on how much I've beat on it, it may not be needed lol...

You can probably put them in, go to an exhaust shop and have them toss a spot weld on both sides for a very small charge.

I put mine in after the body lift was finished. I had to hammer them in, so they're definitely still snug.
