Hi new to the ram Cummins world with a quick battery question. When I went to start my truck this morning nothing happens just clicks like a dead battery. My screen is only reading 10 volts. I jumped it yesterday when it happened and it stayed between 13 and 14 volts while running. Didn’t get any voltage alarms. Let it sit over night and nothing, back to 10v. I know they run off 2 batteries but do I need to replace them both or just the primary? Or could it be something else wrong. Thanks for any help!

Thanks that’s what I figured. Better safe than sorry.

I would also replace them both. Usually when one goes out the other is right behind it.

If you replace one, the older more "dead" one will draw from the new one creating low voltage again. Running on low batteries will often lead to the death of the alternator. Like they said above, replace them both.

I'm have basically the same problem. I'm using interstate batteries purchased from Costco. They are only last about a year and a half. I've also noticed that the Uconnect, and onboard computer is taking a long time to boot up.. sometimes up to 30 to 45 seconds. I'm getting ready to purchase new batteries, but I'm not sure I want to put another set of Interstates in... Thoughts? What brand & model of batteries are you using...
