Thanks man! Yeah and funny enough that not all 3PMS tires are the same in the snow. You mention you like the AT3's in the snow, I personally found those the worse out of the group! My favourites in the snow thus far are the BFG KO2, General Grabber ATX and the Falken Wildpeak AT3w.

But I totally agree! I wish AT tires had awesome sidewalls. Lol

Cheers! Let me know how you handle the snow with the RTs vs your old SRA's.
I sure will!

I haven't ran the new bfgs but I had the previous generation ko's and just wasn't as impressed as the hype led me to believe. This was like 7 years ago at this point so alot has changed too. Haven't had any time on the falkens but everyone swears they're the bees knees who runs them. I agree 100% on the grabbers and think theyre one of the most under rated tires out there. I would have gone with them again if they'd had my size. I hope these Toyos don't go to hell and end up being junk in the snow like the old ATs. Last winter the were brand new so I expected them to perform well, so fingers crossed it continues.

Either way im sub'd in to see more truck stuff!

Ended up scoring an upper glove box for free! It's not in the best 10/10 condition, but I'm pleased with the little upgrade. For the most part it's just a little dirty and needs a good scrub.

I have a spare front metal bumper and I've been toying with the idea of chopping it up and doing some fabrication to make it look similar to a Minotaur Ram front bumper. Their bumper is fiberglass and once piece, but I'm confident I can make a similar looking bottom portion with a metal bumper. It's just finding the time to do things for myself since my shop is always so dang busy. But I guess that's a good thing. :)

Thoughts?

Update!

While I have no complaints with the Bilstein front leveling shocks that have been on the truck for 3 years now, I wanted a little bit more lift and even better ride quality. When you think epic riding truck, you think Carli suspension so that's exactly the route I went. Ordered a Carli Commuter Fox 2.0 System from CJC Off Road.

The kit comes with Fox 2.0 Coilovers set at 2" with a custom valve tune from Carli, upper control arms and I will stack a 1/2" spacer on top giving 2.5" of lift for the front. For the rears, it come with custom valved Fox 2.0's, 1" multi-rate lift springs, track-bar drop and extended links.

It's not going to net me much more lift, maybe 0.5" or so overall, but the ride quality with this setup is INSANE. I was able to install this kit on a customers truck a few weeks back and my mind was blown.

Just waiting for the nice weather to install this stuff!

Been toying the idea of flares. I see them on 2500's and I'm hooked, but one 1500's I'm not a fan of how far down they come in the front to reach the bumper.

Thoughts?

I think it looks awesome, and your paint will appreciate it. I used to be in the "no flares on anything" camp, but the older I get and the more I run my truck off-road the more I appreciate flares and mud flaps when I have to work on it. Just gotta be mindful of the junk they trap behind them and make sure they don't eat through that nice paint.

Are they OEM?

Yeap! They're OEM and already painted PXR.

Just wanted to share some previous updates that I never included in the first post. Three major interior changes that I feel like are worth doing if you have base model truck like I did. I updated the cluster to the 7" color unit, went from the UConnect 5.0 to the UConnect 8.4 and finally my favourite of them all, a leather steering wheel.

Granted if you're buying a mid or top the range model all this stuff is standard, but hey, it's the little things. :)

I'm still on the hunt for a full centre console, but overall this interior is a nice place to be. :)

Haha! I'm waiting for the snow and salt to go away first! Even though I'll be running it through winter going forward, it's nice to have it stay shiny for just that much longer this summer. LOL.

I've always wanted a bit more "bark" to the truck, without having to have something excessively loud/obnoxious and be full of drone. So I opted for a FloPro 2511 direct fit muffler. If stock is 1 and muffler delete is 10, I'd say this a 3-4 at MOST. It's the same size as OEM but it's straight thru design.

I'm happy!

So here goes, got the Carli Commuter Kit installed today since it was a slow day at the shop and quite honestly I couldn't wait any longer, the parts were just staring at me in the living room. LOL

My old set was a pair Bilstein 5100 struts set to 2.1" with nothing done to the rear. It served its purpose for the last 4ish years to help me fit the 35's. I had no complaints if we're being honest.

I only opted to go down the Carli route for the ride quality, and I needed to replace my upper control arms as my balljoints were starting to pop out.

The ride is awesome. Slow speed stuff I would say is the same in the front, and softer in the rear since the multi-rate coils do a good job in the city. At higher speeds it's crazy. I can hit an expansion joint in the road and not even notice anything. Speed bumps? Like they're not even there.

I would say the truck sits 3/4" higher in the front, and 1/2" higher in the rear. If I want more high I'll consider doing the 1.5" Zone body lift.

Overall I'm pleased with the quality of the product and customer service provided by Carli Suspension and CJC Off Road for the fast shipping.

That’s an awesome transformation! I’m helping my buddy do a sort of sport conversion on his 17’ outdoorsman. So far we’ve done black 20” sport wheels, sport power fold mirrors, 7” cluster, 8.4 swap and full console. He plans to do the painted bumpers as well. He recently picked up some projectors. What did you do for a harness when you installed the projectors and the led tails?

Beautiful transformation Fernandok. You got me drooling. Love the cluster, where can I find on in KM like yours?

Awesome! I used conversion harnesses from ESSK Customs here in Canada.
