First time on this forum. Have owned rams since early 90’s. Last was 06 mega with the 5.9 cummins. Bought a 2020. Crew with the 6.7 off road. This is the roughest riding ram I have ever owned. Talked to dealer about changing shocks (came with bilstins) they really didn’t want to do that. It also has different springs than standard 4x4. Soooo I’ am thinking of trading off since I can’t smooth out. Thinking of going to a mega cab with 6.4 hemi 4x4. I pull up to 12800# tt. Will it do the job? Currently getting up to 18mpg with no load 9 mpg pulling. Tia

Have you tried lowering your air pressure for every day driving
Then when you need to tow or a bed full of sand, raise the air pressure back up

Yes, running 55 front and 45 back. Higher in front to compensate for weight of diesel

You change out the shocks and springs for a softer ride, but will it still be able to tow your trait?

Not sure what ride you’re after. That said, my 3500drw is a 1ton truck that doesn’t ride like yesteryears toners......it’s better. It is definitely a truck though. My tongue in cheek answer, try smoother roads? If I can drink my coffe without spilling, the ride is good enough for me. My $.98 worth.......due to inflation.
