This is for sure the way to go to reduce the transmission temp, tool me about 90min to install Caulk's part, that included dropping the front drive shaft. the highest temp have seen is 160 in traffic in the summer.
Many times the aftermarket has improved the OEM design, a good example for a Harley, are many aftermarket parts that are much better than the factory.
one of the best examples is the old Ford Flathead motors, was very time consuming to set valve clearance until an aftermarket came up with an adjustable tappet and made the task much easier.
