I ordered my 2500 Laramie in September. The truck is finished, but still in Mexico awaiting final shipping arrangements. Ram told me probably delivered in December.

I ordered my loaded HO Limited on May 19th. It is now in the delivery yard and will be at my Dealer Next week. As he says it has priority since it is a sold unit. So far almost everything they told me has been on schedule.

Well all of these responses back up my crapshoot statement, the two dates that stick out to me from other threads/forums I'm on are the following 2: Order date 10-23 delivery 11-20 and the second, order date 1/5/21 and still waiting. Those are the two extremes I have in my memory, and everything in between.

Also, on the other forum I mentioned earlier that has been tracking 2022 orders, I've seen dealer lot order trucks with high vins (high 100s or low 200s) arrive. This doesn't sit well there with people who have vins in the 100-150 range still waiting for their builds.

Good luck to everyone waiting, especially Canadians as they've been shafted the hardest in terms of wait times in North America.

99.99% of that is on the dealership playing games with the pricing. From a corporate level, they are still selling their vehicles to the dealership for invoice minus holdbacks regardless. Any invoice/sticker price increase is applied across the board to all dealerships.

So any third hand friend of a friend that knows a guy who knows a dealership owner giving out a story that corporate is responsible for a ADM market pricing is selling a bullsh*t story.
And if you think that a dealer shows invoice and many sold at or below invoice prior to this...you are full of it. How could a dealer build a multi million dollar building and have all the employees they have and sell at invoice stay in business?!?! The invoice they show is total bullsh*t. You can go ahead and believe what you want and I will believe what makes sense to me.

Canadian here - ordered my 2022 Laramie on October 8th. On November 12, dealer called and told me the truck was built and it was KZ status, being shipped. I am in SW Ontario and due to our proximity to the border dealer confirmed that it comes directly from Sterling Heights on a truck (crossing at Sarnia). Since the 17th, every few days dealer calls and says it’s still sitting at a yard near the Detroit River (I think he called it the ‘Detroit River yard’), but that it should be here ‘in the next day or two’.

I am really hoping to see it in the next few weeks, but dealer is being a little weird when I ask questions about the delay in shipping and it makes me think something else is up. First they said the yard is waiting for a full truck of vehicles bound for my specific dealership, then he is saying there is a ‘release date’, but he won’t tell me what that date is. But maybe I am just being paranoid…

I picked up a 2022 rebel night edition 2 weeks ago. I bought it right from the truck, never hit the dealers website. Doesn't have EVERY option I want but it's good enough. Unfortunately it was really expensive and the dealer wanted to charge me 5K over MSRP because it's so difficult to get that truck. I negotiated down to 3K over MSRP and still feel like I got the raw end of the stick but it's a nice truck, I will get over the dealer gouging some day.
Supply and demand, although that's still rough. I imagine that's like taking it in the butth0le without any astroglide.

Enjoy the truck. In these lean times, it nice to have a ride you like.

Zoomed right over your head. I did not say the dealership necessarily sells at invoice, just the dealership buys at invoice minus holdbacks from corporate. The cost corporate sells to the dealership is basically a fixed static price. Once corporate sells to the dealership at invoice, they have made their money. Any ADM pricing the dealership decides to sell the vehicle at above MSRP is on the dealership, not corporate.

So any dealership salesman talk that is saying corporate makes them sell at ADM, is bullsh*t.

I'm not saying you said dealerships sell at invoice...I'm saying many do or below invoice prior to covid-19. If they are selling for the same or less than they supposedly buy them, how do they make enough money to pay for a multi million dollar building? How do they pay for all the utilities bills? How do they pay for all the salaries of employees? The invoice they show you is not the real invoice.

This is the best explanation I have found on dealer profits, etc. Not long ago I saw where the average net profit to the dealer was about 6k. (after all business expenses). IMO as consumers we need to find the best deal that fits. There are so many variables on vehicle purchasing I don't think there is a way to compare apples to apples. vehicles/buyer/trade/finance/ etc.

Hey brother, same issue here. From what I was told is the parts are not flowing as quickly as before because of the pandemic and the ports not getting stuff out quick enough. Did you at least receive your VIN number yet?

Ordered a '22 Classic on Oct. 20. Still "waiting for parts" (chips most likely). My dealer told me last week he saw no reason for now it won' be complete in 10 - 12 weeks from order date. I am skeptical.

If you havent heard about the backlog of all vehicles over the last 6 months or so, I'm wondering where you've been hiding.

i waffled between ordering one in Canada and buying off the dealer lot.now i'm glad i bought off the lot.the local ram/ford/gm dealers around me still have barely any heavy duty trucks on their lots.i ordered a Cougar travel trailer back in late september and i'll be lucky if i see it by spring.when the boat i was looking for appeared in early oct. i jumped on it right away,it was one of 2 available in all of Canada and i'm still waiting for accessories i ordered for it.
I went to the dealer to pick up a replacement puck ball for my wife's truck. One of the guys there came up and offered 28,000 for my 2007 3500. Not a single heavy duty in the lot. I did not take it tho. Hard to find a clean 2007 3500 srw.

I ordered a 2022 Ram Rebel back on October 5. They gave me a VIN number after 2 weeks and last I heard still on the production line doesn’t look like I’ll get mine until march

For the guy that says his Laramie has been built mine has been on order since July and loaded as well. My son works for Stellantis and says mine is in D2 status. Yes mine is pretty loaded as well so I am not sure what the build rules are.
