I ordered my 2022 1500 southwest edition with ram boxes on October 23rd, got here on November 20th. Was told it be here in Februart/March. I was told builds/orders have priority right now over the mass produced trucks that will go on dealership lots.

Hey Floridaboy. I thought I waited a long time ! I ordered a 1500 Crew Cab, 4x4, Laramie trim the first week of August '21. The truck was delivered to my dealer on 11/11 and I took it home the evening of 11/12/21.
There was info on here previously for a link to the factory website. I ended up calling them to get updates in October and November once they assigned a VIN and started the actual build. I love it. Huge improvement over my 2017 in ride quality/handling. I haven't towed my boat with it yet but I expect to be impressed. ANYWAY - Hang in there ! Call the factory and get a ticket started and escalated!!

I ordered a loaded 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 5.7 Hemi eTorque on July 29, 2021. I was in D1 status for nearly 2 months. Got word on November 3,2021 that my truck was built but in storage. My brother works for FCA (now Stellantis) who told me that it was in storage while they arrange shipping to Atlanta. They are building sold orders first but have to manage the shipping since they are not just building and shipping lots of vehicles to dealers. Got word on November 19, 2021 from dealer that my truck has been delivered. I happened to be on a flight to Houston and won’t be back to Atlanta until November 30. #chipshortage

Ordered a 22 Ram 3500 4x4 club cab extended bed and received it within 7 weeks. Most backorders that I hear are due to the electronic adds like side vehicle warnings and the large display screen

Hey brother, same issue here. From what I was told is the parts are not flowing as quickly as before because of the pandemic and the ports not getting stuff out quick enough. Did you at least receive your VIN number yet?
Yes I have had the vin number since July still waiting…..

I ordered my Rebel back in July, and I’m in the same situation. Dealership says they have no clue when I’ll get the truck and ram cares says it’s still waiting for parts. I’ve been told the last few weeks that they should be building mine soon, but pretty sure it’s just BS

TRX ordered in June of 2020, took delivery in Aug of 2021. It’s not surprising though. Many vehicle manufacturers are dealing with parts distribution issues. We ordered a new Kenworth W900L over a year ago and still haven’t seen it. Waiting on computer modules and it’s sitting on a lot with 50K+ other trucks

I'm putting in an order, today, for a 2022 Longhorn with Level 1 equipment. The dealer told me I'm in the next allocation which is in two weeks. Should have the truck around the end of February at the latest if delivery times hold as they have been.

New guy here! I am in the process of buying a '22 1500 Limited (Red) Edition, 4x4 with Ecodiesel. The truck was "in transit" when I picked it out. It's been about 10 days but the truck had just been listed on the dealer website, which means it's probably much closer to MI than CA.
The chip shortage is causing the manufacture to deliver vehicles without some features that might normally be on them. That is the only way that they are able to get any inventory out.
Drivers are in super short supply here in CA (Maybe everywhere?) and if you havent seen all the cargo ships parked off our coast, it's really quite a site. The ports are gridlocked.

The news is very mistaken when it comes to truck drivers

What is going on is that the ships sitting off the coast of California are sitting there because there are too many Sea Going Cargo Containers sitting on the dock, so they can't unload them until there is space.
They have truck drivers sitting there with the 10 wheel trucks & they are ready to go, but they can't, because those Cargo Containers need to be loaded on special trailers & there none available.
Those trailers are sitting there with EMPTY Cargo Containers sitting on them.
Those empty cargo containers are needed in China, Japan, etc. because there is cargo that needs to be loaded over there & they don't have any empty containers over there.
Because cargo can't be loaded overseas, that means that the factories over there will have to close down, because they have no where store the goods.

The Federal & State Gov'ts are trying to locate vacant property, so that the empty cargo containers can be off loaded from the needed trailers.
Then they would have the empty trailers to off load the full containers that are on a ship & when that ship is empty, they can bring in the empty containers to load the cargo ship with empty containers.

By the way, the number of cargo ships in the Harbor has been getting smaller in size, but it is not because they are unloading them faster than ever before.
It is because the US Gov't has told the ships leaving overseas ports were told to cross the Pacific Ocean at 50% of their normal speed.
That way, there are not as many ships anchored in the L.A. port.
Right now, it is all about Optics

Delivery times may be a bit longer this time of year.

On or about December 17th, the Ram Assembly Plants will close down for the Holidays, i would think that they will go back to work on or about January 3rd

KC Kevin, when your Ram is loaded on the freight train at the Assembly Plant.
First stop will be just outside of Chicago, where they will change Locomotives.
It will then go south down through Yuma, Arizona & up through Banning & through Moreno Valley & into Mira Loma, where it will be off loaded from the freight car.
It will sit there in Mira Loma until a car hauler can be scheduled to haul it to your dealership

Good Luck with a quick delivery

My Ram left the assembly plant on the 17th of December 2015 & it was delivered on January 16th 2016 at my dealership in the San Diego area
It was in Mira Loma for a full week

"Cargo Containers need to be loaded on special trailers & there none available." And why are none available?
