As the title says, how much will the dealer charge me to swap front diff fluid, rear diff fluid and xfer case fluid? Truck is a bone stock 2014 6.4 Hemi 4X4 w/115K miles.

And PLEASE... refrain from telling me to do it myself, explaining how it's so easy my grandmother could do it, and how the dealer rips me off. I've spent plenty of hours wrenching under vehicles. I've moved 2500 miles across an ocean from my truck, it's a company write-off and I have all work done at the dealer to make it easy keep my Lifetime Warranty in place. I just know prices vary from dealer to dealer and am trying to get some idea what to expect.

doubt anyone here can give you an answer, that you are looking for.
You are best to just call dealers around you or in area you are willing to travel and ask.

Most will even do it over email, ask them for quote.

I had a buddy get his front and rear diff fluid changed at the Jeep dealer I know, not a ram but they sell/service both brands, and it cost him about $400. This is in the Sacramento region. that's when I got on him and told him the dealer ripped him off and it's so easy that his grandmother could do it. ;)

I'd have to imagine it'll be in that ball park.

Most places charge well over $100 per hour for labor. I am willing to say it will cost you over $400 for the service you're looking for. The only way to know exactly what the cost will be is to call the places directly.

As mentioned in several posts above.....just call a few dealerships and ask? I mean really, that question is about the same as getting on a forum and asking random people how much Walmart charges for a box of Cheerios. There are probably only a certain number of dealers within a reasonable distance so just call all and ask.

Yeah, but at 8:45PM Walmart may be open to answer the Cheerios question but the dealers are closed.... but I knew you guys would be here. :)

I figure with parts, labor, supplies, fluid, and disposal fee, looking at around $275, maybe 350. Dealers usually have bundled service packages which could have some savings, plus any discount; military/veteran, police, fire etc. The drain plug on the TC, IIRC, is slightly tapered. If it's over torqued the case can crack.

I wanted to report back for anyone curious. It turns out it's a "4WD Service" and includes xfer case and both diffs. $415 at my dealer and I have a 10% off coupon. So, about $365. Not living/having a garage near my truck and being a business expense I'm happy to pay it but get it if you'd rather DIY.

My dealer charges 125.00 per hour. No idea how long it takes. Best I could do as far as a working number.

It was around 475 when I had it done. Also note your time. They had it for over a half day to get this done.

I was going to guess at between $400-600 for this at your average dealer.

All you can do is hope they actually do the work properly seeing it's something they can hammer out quickly.

I think it took about half a day - The truck was in for an oil change anyway. I'm away from my truck about 1/2 the time so I just have someone from my company take it in.
