If your thinking about a purchase of a 3500 ram dually Don’t do it ! I have a 2018 Laramie and it’s been nothing but problems, first radio goes out , then the ABS light comes on and at 59k miles corporate says it’s my problem, soon won’t be I ordered a new Chevrolet high country and this pile of junk is gone ! The def is now giving issues and I’m done dealing with this bucket of junk ! This was my third dually , my wife has grand Cherokee limited my mom has grand Cherokee Laredo along with my daughter in law. With all they seen me go through they will no longer along with myself buy Chrysler products ever again . This thing is absolutely awful on fuel mileage too , pulls 9k and gets 9.9 mpg . This truck is got to be the biggest let down for the price we paid for it that I ever owned . I saved 2 small companies from buying Ram trucks and I’m absolutely telling anyone that’s thinking about a purchase of a ram truck to think real hard before they do it and I definitely tell them all my nightmares I have . I’m done in December me and Ram trucks are getting a divorce!

Sorry to hear about the issues you are having. But you are not one of the majority of us RAM owners. You got a lemon. It happens with every brand.

So go enjoy your Chevy or your Ford but coming here, making an account and complaining is not going to change any of our views about our awesome trucks. Let's face it, you'll stick around and complain for a bit but then leave forever. We see it all the time. Just like every other forum in existence.

Again, sorry you got a lemon. I hope the next truck is better for you.

I see you in Canada , unfortunately the damn EPA has cracked down on the deleting and tuning in US , my prior ram trucks were deleted and tuned and was working horses and was reliable investments .

Did you notice I said this was my third ram , my prior two was great trucks and I wish I had kept them but they know they have a problem with the ABS on the new models and won’t stand behind it , glad you got a good one like the two prior rams I had . I might not have changed no minds on here but I’ve already changed some so that’s good enough for me .

I just find it real hard to accept their flagship model truck has all these issues with these low miles and corporate won’t stand behind their products, that would apply for all the major manufacturers who are asking these prices for these flagship heavy duty model workhorses

There really isn't a flagship model anymore. It just depends on what you need. I'd argue their flagship is a 1500 with air suspension and leather. Basically a Cadillac with a bed. If you are talking about towing and payload, then yeah yours is pretty much as high as it goes. I read your post though, I somewhat agree with you, it sucks you got a lemon but your post here about it isn't going to change our opinions. We are a large online community of RAM owners but a small portion of RAM owners overall.

Unfortunately for you, 2018 is old enough that you might not get the help you want or need from a dealership. But, with the insane used market right now, have you considered or looked into trading up to a 5th gen? I know that might be a hard pill to swallow but I don't see a better option sadly.

For big, heavy tow rigs, a 3500 HO asin Cummins dually would be the top of the line. And that would be a tough truck to match in terms of performance figures no matter what brand it is.

I’m trading it , I love the Cummins deleted and tuned but in the US it’s got so hard to tune and delete them and now the dpf is giving fault codes so it’s got to go , only pull 9k now so I’m getting away from diesels with the low mpg and EPA crackdowns . I think folks has the idea I hate ram trucks but I don’t , loved my 2009 and 2015 , this is a 3500 dually Laramie and has all the add ons you can get and my problem is with corporate not standing behind the electronic issues . I will always say the Cummins is definitely the best diesel out there , especially deleted and tuned , power and mpg is unreal !

I guess it just sucks to have two absolutely great trucks prior to this being made by the same manufacturer and then this one gives all these issues , just a very hard issue to accept . Like you said with the market like it is I should do pretty good with the trade .

Don't know why your ABS light came on, or what lead to you being told it's not covered (time, accident, abuse, etc.). I've not seen other rallying cries for big fixes of class action lawsuits for this issue.

Don't know what happened with your radio, or have any reason not to view this as things happen, no big deal.

For many there are a few more steps between three issues that didn;t leave you stranded and "endless issues", which makes it seem like you're looking to flame and complain.

So you are going to a top of the line Chevy Duramax? Can't really say anything bad about those. They are proven work horses. But just like us RAM guys and even Ford guys they all have problems.

It's a weird market right now. For the first time in my life I can sell my truck at a higher price than I paid. Can you? Might be nice to have a do-over considering you loved your other RAM trucks.

One thing the RAM has nailed is that gorgeous interior, not sure if I could get away from it after having it for a while now. I just don't think anyone else comes close.

From reading this, you ran out of the manufacturers warranty at 36,000 miles & you did not have the Mopar extended warranty

You did not drive to your local auto parts store & ask them to to use their Scan tool to find out what was wrong with your ABS

I don't blame you for being upset with a bad radio

The Ford interior looks nice from the massage seats. Chev still has a few weird plastic touchables, but it's the old truck feeling ride that keeps surprisig me when I drive one. Love the motors though.

They are all much nicer now than they were a decade ago but I still think RAM has the best setup. Especially when you compare the highest trim levels.

And do you think some disgruntled Ford & Chevy owners have done the exact same thing? There is more negative commentary than anyone can even read about the other brands. All makes have a random few PO'ed customers like you who run to the net to vent, because all brands, Chevy included, have an occasional lemon. You did just that, and like someone said, you will soon disappear. Maybe you can go to the Chevy forums and read about the GM customers venting about their "Chevy bucket of junk". Have fun with that.
