Just curious if they serve cheese at the Cheyennemans winery? Joined 11/30/21 and has been whining ever since. Perhaps a nice marble cheese or maybe even get really fancy and have a nice aged gouda cheese.

If your thinking about a purchase of a 3500 ram dually Don’t do it ! I have a 2018 Laramie and it’s been nothing but problems, first radio goes out , then the ABS light comes on and at 59k miles corporate says it’s my problem, soon won’t be I ordered a new Chevrolet high country and this pile of junk is gone ! The def is now giving issues and I’m done dealing with this bucket of junk ! This was my third dually , my wife has grand Cherokee limited my mom has grand Cherokee Laredo along with my daughter in law. With all they seen me go through they will no longer along with myself buy Chrysler products ever again . This thing is absolutely awful on fuel mileage too , pulls 9k and gets 9.9 mpg . This truck is got to be the biggest let down for the price we paid for it that I ever owned . I saved 2 small companies from buying Ram trucks and I’m absolutely telling anyone that’s thinking about a purchase of a ram truck to think real hard before they do it and I definitely tell them all my nightmares I have . I’m done in December me and Ram trucks are getting a divorce!
Sorry to hear this but Chevy and fords all there problems also. As far a fuel mileage it’s a big heavy truck not a Honda fit

So, Chrysler fixed the expensive issue for you (the radio). You have the ABS light come on, they wont cover it. Possibly, im not seeing all of the problems youve had simply because you didnt explain. Do you expect to not have any issues ever? Vehicles, not matter the brand, have problems. Theyre unexpected. What was the ABS problem? Have you tuned that truck for better fuel mileage? It sounds like youre upset that you spent an arm and a leg on the truck and have buyers remorse. Now, all upset youre on a Ram forum trying to "save" us from impending doom. You get out of your rig what you put into it. If you need help fixing the problem, we are all here to help but b**ching for the sake of b**ching is petty.

I’m trying a Ford now. May be no better and I may return to Ram. But, I never would have tried a Ford if I felt I was taken care of (after 8 Rams in a row). The profit they lost on me buying a Ford would have paid for the trans many times over.
In southern Alberta the Ford dealerships get a lot of fleet contracts, so they tends to ignore or screw over the people with a handful of vehicles that need service. I had one stealership take the parts ordered for my vehicle back off after they told me I could pickup the vehicle so they could appease a fleet customer, and left me with no vehicle for days with no loaner or compensation (then had a fit when I complained to Ford, but neither did anything). I've had to drive 250 miles past dozens of Ford dealerships to get to the one that's only slightly out to get me to get issues acknowledged as being under warranty and in need of repair.

The last three new Fords have been ordered over the phones from the far away dealer after a call or two, after trying for weeks to deal with local scammerships so brazen they use the name of the local regulator as one of their fake fees (AMVIC fee is $7, they invoice $80-$500!).

But I still would have bought an F-150 instead of my 2020 if insurance hadn't force the RAM so I guess they're not so bad...

I can imagine how fun you must be to chat with at any service center. Every, and I repeat EVERY single manufacture has good and bad vehicles. You can have 3 identical trucks come down the assembly line in a row and 1 of them be plagued with endless problems while the other 2 go on to live a trouble free life. With that being said, if you only went to one service center and didn't get a second opinion from another, that's on you. Not to mention with modern electronics on vehicles, the ABS could've been anything from a blown fuse or pinched wire, to a fried abs module. Any reputable tech could have diagnosed it within a reasonable time. The radio failure is a known hit-or-miss problem with the 4th gen trucks. Worst case you've got to buy a radio, best case you complain a bit and they repair/replace it for free. But you can trade in your Ram, go to GM and try to have better luck with them. I can tell you right now that you won't have any better of a time with ANY modern diesel that hasn't been deleted. The DEF system is a **** show across the board.

I think everyone on this forum should be able to speak freely without be jumped and hammered by other forum members.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Just like everything in the world that is made. Just because 1 has issues doesn’t mean all do. Just because a lot are good doesn’t mean 1 one be bad.

It's all a matter of the approach he took, his very first sentence in his very first post is trying to convince everyone on here not to buy a Ram because of his experience. If he asked for assistance or advice instead of telling us how horrible our trucks are it would have been a totally different conversation.

Deleting a truck doesn't make you a dbag and neither does tuning one. Unless you are "rolling coal" like a teenager. Why would someone not want to delete? After all, you get rid of a huge problem are for these trucks, as well as grab a few more miles per gallon.

I've had Dodge cars and trucks my whole life long and now own a 2013 Ram 2500 Diesel 4/4 Big Horn Crew Cab and love it. Is it perfect no and by the way no truck is Chevy, Ford, Toyota or any other. They all have design and material issues. It's not all the engineers fault either, many times the bean counters get too involved and demand cost targets so the engineers have to work with what cost parameters they're given.
Example being the Ram 68RFE trans that has a number of weaknesses. The trans itself is a great design, but they've made some mistakes in material selections that cause problems. Like the weak input shaft, and the pump housing that's made out of aluminum of an alloy that's too soft and a few other issues. I just had to replace mine at 97,000 miles at a large cost but it is what it is. I now have a stronger stage II 68RFE that has better parts so it won't fail for a long time now.
I also tow a trailer that's just about 8000 pounds and while towing I get between 12 and 14 MPG's, except when in the hills and mountains then I get 11 to 12 MPG's.
Without towing anything I get anywhere from 22 MPG's and if on flat ground on cruse control and 55 MPH I can get up to 29 MPG's. I just turned over 100,000 miles and I take good care changing oil every 3000 to 4000 miles and . Do the right things and you'll have long life and good service.
I've had MOPAR's all my life and even drag raced a number of them with great results. I'm too old for that now but the last one was a 1973 Dodge Dart with a 440 cu in big block torque monster stuffed in it. Great car and a strong runner.

We purchased our D350 from the dealer in 1984 with a 360 V8. We finally had to replace the engine at 350K miles and the AC this year upgrading to R134. With a Tiger crane it has been a very reliable rig. We did discover that the block casting had not been flushed when the sand filled the 4 pass radiator at 45k miles. We have been happy with this rig.

I had a '85 D250 with the 360 4 bbl gas. I sold it with a little over 350,000. It was a work truck from day one carrying my mechanic equipment, air compressor and welding equipment for 12 years. My next one was a '98 2500 with the 360 gas and carrying the same equipment for the next 20 years with 489,000 miles, still have it.

And had he joined the forum and voiced his concerns and troubles with his truck, I'm certain everyone that had any helpful information would have helped. But this guy went out of his way to join a forum and not say a single decent thing about the whole platform. He made it very clear he wasn't interested in keeping the Ram and was ordering a new GM Duramax.

MAY he have fun and enjoy that Duramax, they have problems just like all others. GM put out that new 3.0 Duramax and they were blowing up at 5,000 miles, just like the Gen 2 ED's were spinning mains. It just is what it is.

Perhaps you forgot or are too young to remember the junk Diesels that Chevrolet dumped on the people back in the 80s, it wasn’t an isolated case but every engine. They were such a bad failure that it killed the Diesel market for years so bad Mercedes quit importing theirs for several years. I just can’t forgive that deliberate action.

Anybody else notice how aggressive Chrysler was about getting survey and “feedback” in the first month (prior to the avalanche of equipment failures that ensued)?
