You can make one by using a cheap vaccumn gauge, plumb it in behind the filter. Then you just read the inches of vaccumn it pulls. You can buy a dedicated version, but a cheap vaccumn gauge bought from Princess Auto accomplishes the same basic thing
Thanks Rick, I think I’m getting the idea
But just to be certain-
We’re trying to get a vacuum reading in the mid-pipe between the filter and throttle body, the higher the reading the more restriction in the filter?

Yup.The more inches of vaccumn you pull, the greater the restriction.

Paper filter media is more effective and does not need an oil film to do its job. But there is a lot of money to be gained by convincing gullible people to buy aftermarket filter systems and filter treatments.

Also not appreciated by the general public is that air filters (and oil filters) are least effective when new and before "loading" of the media has taken place. Stands to reason as the filter media needs to allow enough air to reach the engine throughout its life as material collects on the media. Any improved performance from a third party filter is likely the result of less filtration occuring.

I have oiled on both my 02 and 05. Bought 1 extra to have a spare. It takes about 24 hours to clean and dry before you can reoil. But i have had no problems with mantaining the filters using the cleaning kit from S&B

Double KN drop-in replacement.
Gasoline wash and power water wash every 20,000 & oil spray both. At 100,000 I request a new replacement of the bottom 1st filter with photos of odometer and ugly filter. KN mails a replacement since I registered 2 KN filters for the Cummins RAM truck.

2015ram 2500 4x4 4door Cummins 6spd camper shell, deleted, stock tune. 450k miles. Oil clean & clear to 5000 miles. Mpgs 25-33mpgs freeway. Original turbo, clutch change at 350k. CERT truck 10,500lbs. 100s of spare parts 4sale, from head, injectors, he300 he350 downpipes, fuel pumps, manifolds, hot and intake, bumper front, grill, headlights, tail lights, etc. I'm 100% buying Tesla Cyber truck, 4 motors, Self driving package, 1000hp, 1.9 seconds to 60mph. 500 miles per charge. I'll change the 35 inch off road tires to Truck Highway Fuel efficient tires and get 600-700 miles per charge.
