Anybody think a swap to the 8.0 v10 would be better .? I'm thinking the wiring would plug rite in . The 360 in there has 200k on her she's still good but I need one in the ready .it's the 8800gvwr
frame with solid danas with 3_ tool boxes she weights in at 7200 as a daily driver and that's on an clear day with no trailer.added an tranny cooler and trailer brake .still gets worked hard gets 9 mpg so I think a v10 might help? Has plenty of power .plenum fix cold air in take cat delete flow master 40 duals and other stuff the 35 in tires are 66 lbs a piece with out rim .it's just plan heavy

are you after more power or just a bigger engine to try to balance out the power and mpg? if your just after power your not even starting to touch what a 360 is capable of. swapping in a worked or semi worked 360 would make your life super easy besides getting it to a tuner and you would definitely find more power.

I agree with drakon. The 360 is a very capable motor. If you can get an aftermarket intake manifold and headers and have some new cylinder heads that are ported you would probably be set.

Ill thirdly agree that the 360 is what I would build. There is a YouTube channel I follow that a guy builds them over any other Mopar engine.

I'd bore and stroke that 360.
