We use statistical data to make design decisions on products every single say. I did this all throughout my career.
Inexperienced or corrupt executives make bad interpretations. That doesn't means statistics are useless. It means you haven't been educated about them, and should trust thoas who have been.
I work with jmp and minitab daily for decisions. As a process and design engineering for a large optics company, i am familiar. I do not like statisics becuse, my brother's friends uncles cousin...

As you stated, statisics con be dangerous

So you had a 17 year old car by a different manufacturer that you heavily modded for the track an used an actual “synthetic” (maybe) oil that’s had its formula changed a couple times since then (2004)? Um ok…. I’ll stick with my 0w-30 Redline in my ‘21 Hemi.

After reading this thread I feel like I may not be the only person on this forum from the additive or finished lube business!

Which is why I put
"<--- Keyboard Ninja in my post"

I will stick with Penzoil Ultra Platinum in my 2021 Challenger 392 and Platinum in my 2020 1500 Hemi

All good.

And you’ll have better fuel economy for it. Oh and help the environment. Thumbs up!

Seriously, ok,

50 of 100 cars ran a red light between 5am and 6am on Wednesday 12/8/2021.

This does not equate to 50% of the cars runnining the redlight "at any given time"

Maybe you should work on spelling and grammar before moving onto numbers.

Are you running 0w-30 year round? Just curious, I live in WI as well.

Pt-4 I am running Redline 0w-30 all year long in both our Ram 5.7 and our ‘18 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 also. Both vehicles are very quiet (except for the Corsa exhausts on both) and no cels ever.

To avoid any confusion on my part OCI?

I deal with too many acronyms.

500, 1000 then 5000 on the car
500, 1000 then 5000 and 10000 on the truck.

I will go about 5000 from now on out at each OCI :)
That’s pretty much my oci. I also use penzoil ultra platinum With a a fram ultra filter I’m my hemi 1500. Some guys use redline 0-30 as their trucks have the hemi tick and have found their tick either eliminated or greatly reduced. My hemi remains quite and problem free, but only 47000 miles. thus far no reason to change or explore other options. My uneducated opinion is many of the lifter cam failures are caused by extended drain intervals. That’s why I was asking about your oci.
