Does anyone know if the tow mirrors from a 5th gen 1500 can be installed and work on a 2500? The mirrors in question are manually folding, heated, with puddle/courtesy lights. Thanks!

As long as the 2500 platform supports the heated and lighting features is should be a direct replacement.

I don't think anything from the Gen5 DT body trucks will fit on the 2500/3500 trucks as they are still mostly a Gen4 DS body truck with a redesigned front end and interior, usually referred to as a Gen4.5

I won't swear to it, But
If i recall correctly, the 5th Gen mirror mounting stud pattern is different than the 4th Gen pattern.

The only way to find out, would i think be to take off either front door plastic cover that hides the mounting studs. Then using something like a 4"X 4" cardboard cut off. Press the cardboard against the 3 studs to get a impression of the mounting pattern.
Then find someone with a 5th Gen Ram & ask them if it would be OK to compare impressions.
I have a friendly relationship with the guys in the Parts Dept. & sometimes they let me look at new parts to compare against, but even the parts counter has a line of customers lately needing something or other.
