I have a 2019 Limited with all the bells and whistles. The truck has the air lift suspension and currently only has 16k miles on it. Aside from my mom having air ride on a Lincoln Continental back in the 80's I have no experience with this type of system. That being said I know that it's going to fail at some point, whether in the next 3 or 5 years, and when it does I plan to fix the air ride system as I like the fact that I can adjust the different ride heights on the fly.

Ques 1: Is there a way to have the system programmed using the OBD scan tool so I can drive with the truck at the level 1 or level 2 height?

Ques 2: Has anyone here with a 2019 truck had their system fail already and you had to replace parts, and if so what components did you have to replace?

Lastly, would it make sense to purchase new airbags and other system parts prone to fail now and store them for future use down the road, (I'm thinking the parts will cost more later or not be readily available).
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

HI I have a 2017 Limited, original owner, bought new in Feb 2018 with 170,000 miles on it. I replaced the compressor at 150,000, other then that I have not had any issues.

I have not found any hack/way to drive in offroad 1/2 mode. New 22' will be here in 2 weeks. I am trying the rough country senor relocation kit on the new truck when I get it. I will report back with the results

2017 Rebel, 31k miles - I recently had to replace both front airbags because they developed micro-leaks. If the truck sat for about 48 hours, I'd find the front end in Entry/Exit mode. After running for a few minutes it would be back up to Normal. A few other members here have had a similar experience, at least the ones who've posted about it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Hopefully this won't be an issue for many miles/years to come. But I'll keep checking back, thanks again.

You can buy new links for the suspension sensors that will keep the truck at any level. Check out revel performance revel links. Only issue I’ve noticed is that the plastic fender housing underneath rattles a bit over slow speed bumps. https://www.revelperformance.com/

Put in the rough country sensor brackets, it did raise the Truck to a offroad 1 height but I lost the functionality of being to lift and lower from there so I removed them

Links are one way of doing this. But there is a physical limit for how high or low you can go with this system. And keep in mind, the closer you get to the upper limit, the more the truck will bounce over bumps. Think of an over-inflated basketball. I've added front links to bring the front end to almost level with the rear. Because of this my truck cannot go into OR2 anymore because of the physical limits. But I'm okay with using OR1 when needed. Most of the time I keep it in Aero. That seems to give me the smoothest ride on the highway.

Riding around on the level one setting of low would not be a good ride. very harsh and limited travel.

I dunno, I guess it could be because you have a 5th gen but how much did you have to raise your front end to level it? in my 2018 Limited 1500, I only had to raise the front a little over an inch with those links from Revel Performance to level it and I can still use OF2 mode.

I'm not sure you can but as long as you don't mind seeing a "service air suspension" message, Ive heard you can put the truck in OF2 mode and then pull the air suspension fuse but I wouldn't recommend that because one, you'll probably end up having uneven tire wear and two, even if you go with the aftermarket leveling link method, your ride will be awful bouncy. if you're wanting to lift it, id do it the proper way and lift it though the suspension and then have the front end re-aligned.
Ques 2: Has anyone here with a 2019 truck had their system fail already and you had to replace parts, and if so what components did you have to replace?
Did you get a lifetime warranty? I seriously advise anyone who gets a truck with the four corner air ride to invest in one because even if you don't live in an extremely cold climate where they're the most problematic, they can still be very pricy if any of those air ride components ever fail or wear out.
Lastly, would it make sense to purchase new airbags and other system parts prone to fail now and store them for future use down the road, (I'm thinking the parts will cost more later or not be readily available).

I highly doubt that would matter. They're gonna be just as expensive then as they are now.

The links I bought raised the front about almost 2 inches. It's still got a slight amount of rake, but I'm happy with the look. To get a true level I'd need to lower the rear by about an inch. Raising the front any more would not only affect my ride, I'd also have to stop using my OR1 setting.

Wow, 2 inches and it still isn't level?? Your factory ride height must have been a lot lower in the front and a lot higher in the rear than mine.

This is barely an inch and I didn't even touch the rear.
