Been mia lol. Let’s seee. Went to Sand Hollow for Trail Hero event. Got Covid got better then went to Barstow for another fun fast session of desert fun. Been working and running keeping on thing and haven’t done a lot of wheeling the last month. Going back to Barstow in Feb and have plans to be in Moab in May.

And a few changes last couple weeks to the bed. Changed up tire location. Added in a toolbox for more storage. I have some tube work to finish in the rear to make it super sturdy but the overall layout won’t change. I also have a new shock tune for my rear shocks that will be put in and tested out when I get to Barstow

have you ever built that truck with all the stuff you have done it must be bulletproof it’s different than what I would do but it is totally cool did you go with the fix as you break theory or upgrade before chit fails or a little of both

Little bit of both. These trucks are pretty stout and you can beat them within reason.

When are you entering your first race or have you done that already you have a awesome truck for the type of stuff you do i would like to do something similar but with over landing in mind isn’t it really just camping lol i looked at all your posts and at the beginning it looked like that was the way you were going but got sidetracked by the extra fun wheeling you are lucky to live so close to good trails

no racing for this truck. We’ve thought about building one but eh. I just enjoy getting out with cool people and having good times.

Roger that I like to go back in the bush but I prefer to be away from other people I was thinking from your first race you could do something easy like king of the hammers lol

It looks like you’re axle truss is a home design is it looks strong

So you have done a lot of work to build your truck the way it is what do you think is the best mod you have done other than cutting it up the wheeling you do is hardcore I still want to be Abel to sleep in the back and long road trips

The best mod I’ve done hands down is put a properly tuned suspension under it. That just makes everything enjoyable and comfy.

I would think that your truck has taken some hard landings build for bulletproof I am of the school of thought try to upgrade before you break stuff hence the question guy’s like you are a tester for the rest of us and all though I won’t wheel my truck as hard as your do it’s good to know what works and what don’t

Nope it’s a coil sprung 2500. Was a long bed just shortened and kept all factory suspension geometry in place.
