Anyone have 3.92's with a Pedal Commander?

I will be picking up a super clean 2015 1500 5.7 Limited 4x4 tomorrow morning. It has 3.92's in it and seemed pretty peppy when I drove it. I had a PC31 Pedal Commander in my previous 2016 2500 Cummins and it made a big difference in throttle response set at Sport 1. I pulled the PC31 out when I sold it, then found it will work in the 1500 as well and will most likely put it in the Limited. Just curious if anyone has one with 3.92's or 321's for that matter. I don't want to fry the tires at stop lights, but I do love intant throttle response and never had one of these is a gas engine.

Cool, that's what I was hoping to hear! My last Hemi was a 2012 6spd auto w/3.55's. Loved the power up top, but always thought it was a kind of a dog down low. Never had a Pedal Commander on it, but I bet it would have helped that.

It's a must have, especially on 6sp/3.55. I imagine how it would be on 8sp/3.92...:)

Had one but with my 18’ sport night and 3.92 went to the 9 drive as the PCM would throw codes on my old truck. The 9 Drive is a 1/4 the price, nice small controller and works flawlessly. PCM is a rip off imho.
The hemi 8spd with the 9 drive is a riot to drive. Mainly drive at 2.6 but it’s full winter here so at 2.0. Could easily go down but it’s sure fun where it’s at.

How's the 9 drive work? ...how's it connect ... and what modes does it have?

I never heard of the 9 drive until now. The Pedal Commander was the bomb when I got it about 3 years ago. But I have it, so might as well use it in the 1500.

I had a 2019 classic with 3.55 gears and the PC and I traded it in for a 2021 Classic with the 3.92 gears and I put the PC into that truck, it makes a huge difference in response, I usually leave it on city plus 2 or 3 for regular driving, at first I had it on sport 0 to plus 1 or 2 but that became a little too sensitive.

Best advice I can give you is DO NOT make any adjustments on the fly, while driving with the PC. Only change settings while stopped and with no pedal input by your foot what so ever. I’ve done this and had zero issues with engine lights or codes in the two trucks I’ve had it on. Anyone I’ve heard having engine codes and trouble was because they were making changes on the PC while driving, which is exactly what the PC instructions say NOT to do.

You’ll have fun with the PC and 3.92 geared 5.7L …. It has no problem getting up and going quickly.

I did NOT change on the fly, stopped only foot off gas and it threw codes randomly. Gave it to a buddy thinking it didn’t like my truck, same thing with his. It’s well documented. Just like any electronic device it can have issues.

Got it installed this morning and took it for a spin. I thought it was on Sport+ 1, but somehow I got on Sport+ 4! It freaking jumped the first time I went to take off normally. A bit too much. So, I backed it down to Sport+ 1 where I had it in my Cummins and it is still very snappy, but not as jumpy. It's easy enougth to back it down more if I need to. I'm just glad I remembered to pull it out of my 2500. It works really well and this is how they should be from the factory, IMHO.

Have PC on my 2017 Rebel with 3.92s and love it for over 4 years. Drive mostly on city plus. Has never thrown any codes and change settings on the fly.

I do.
5.7, 6 Speed, 4x4, 3.92 with a PC at Sport+1 (Maybe 2). Any higher and I find my RPM's stay up forever.
It took me a long time to pull the trigger on a PC but I couldn't be happier. My wife even noticed from the passenger seat, when we want to pass, we pass lol.

I have the 9drive on my '19 Classic w/3.92. I leave mine on 2-6 and it's plenty quick. It really woke the truck up.
