It does? I mean, I carry a small tool box in my bed with basic end wrenches, crescent wrenches, pliers, things of that nature and a bed tote that has ratchet straps, jumper cables and a really nice DeWalt socket set but I don’t consider having to grab two hand tools to take that antenna down and put back on as easy…. And not only that, even if your antenna base is pretty tight to where you only need one wrench, you gotta be careful or it’s really easy to turn that wrench too far and scratch the hell outta your paint. Been there, done that when I was installing that bullet antenna so no, I don’t consider the antenna coming off and on as “pretty easy”….lol.
I just use a multi tool. Never scratched the truck, nor overtightend. Did this on my, 04, by 11 and now my 16. Same tool.

I used to carry a cut down 8mm open end wrench. Tape over the non jaw end so no accidental scratches on paint work. Kept on glove box. At the wash, tow hitch off, antenna off job done

Must be a Mon/Fri build.

I had a 2015 for 5 years. Never a squeak from the doors. Heated seats do take more than a minute to get to full, but after 5 minutes I had to turn mine down to 1 or Off. And with the option (maybe you don't have it) of turning them on with remote start, by the time I got into the truck it was time to turn them down. HOWEVER, every person is different too - my wife, on the rare occasion she drives it, leaves them on 3 all the time - I would be roasting.

Yeah must be a Mon/Fri build!

I do have the option to have them ON when I start the truck. Even then barely feel anything. I sometimes even forget them ON and barely notice heat.

The other day, I decided to turn them ON manually, they were hot. go figure. It seems hit or miss. I'll talk to my stealership when I bring it in next.

Please forgive me if this is completely far-fetched but I’m curious… When you remote start your truck, is it only putting your seat heater on low and whenever you go out there to manually turn the seat heater on, is it putting it on high because there is two different settings on both the air conditioning seats and the heated seats.

Not far fetched at all! But yeah, it's full pin when starting the truck. No cooled seats in my truck. Thanks for your time man!

I really wish the ram 1500s had solid front suspension rather than IFS.. no particular reason for it other than I'm partial to it because its easier to get more lift out of solid axles

So just to confirm, when you remote start your truck, it puts your driver seat heater on high, correct?

I guess I do kind of feel your pain. I don’t know how old you are and if you actually off-road your truck or not but back around 2001, 2002-ish when I bought my new to me 1998 Dodge ram 1500- because of that solid front axle, I didn’t have to lift it or level it to put 33 inch 285/75’s on those 16” wheels but man, a lot of people sure thought that whole truck was lifted…. I took that truck over quite a few medium to little bit hairy Jeep trails up in the Colorado Rockies.

But see, as half-ton trucks became a lot more automobile-ized, that SFA just had to go. I miss that old half-ton but I sure do like the ride and handling of my 2018 with the independent front suspension.

Yes sir, on high! This morning, they were/felt a tad warmer but nothing to ride home about. It's also colder this morning at -11c / 12f.

, jerry, you can manually downshift, get the revs up and you’ll have the power you’re looking for going up hills.
Thanks for the input sorry for just now responding just saw this. To be clear my 6.4 isn't a dog pulling and it's not lacking for power. I was just saying how shocked I was that a half ton had more towing power. I do use the manual downshift and when pulling my boat I keep it in 5th gear manually then downshift when the transmission doesn't.

This is a thread about negativity but there are things I do like about the truck for sure. As many negatives as I have about the truck it may be one I end up driving for 10 years lol.

That’s weird, I don’t know why they would only get lukewarm when actives by the remote start and only get comfortably hot after manually turning them on.

Regular cabs are so scarce and impossible to find in anything but white.
Dodge not getting the same treatment as Chevy and Ford in aftermarket support.
Lack of "cab and a half"/why does EVERYTHING have to be a damn 4 door?
Price on the car lot is ridiculous
Price of a key fob
Lack of 318 or 360 as option past 2003

Is this is all stuff you don’t like about your Ram or just Rams and Dodges in general?

And you can get a single cab long bed 3/4-ton in all sorts of colors on the Ram Trucks site so how are they so scarce and only in white?

What exactly is “Dodge” not getting the same treatment in when it comes to the aftermarket?
Lack of "cab and a half"/why does EVERYTHING have to be a damn 4 door?
In the 1/2 tons, you can still get the quad cabs which is still basically a cab and a half or extended cab…. Still has four doors but why would that be a problem?
Price on the car lot is ridiculous
And what else isn’t on all the other lots?
Price of a key fob
I’m sure Chrysler ain’t the only one who has expensive fobs but I could be wrong, I guess.

Those were good motors… well, the 318 was, I never had anything with the 360 but, really? Wow. But hey, if you like those so much then get an old truck that has it and be happy. Why complain about the newer stuff?

Mine get too hot and I have to lower the temp after about 30 minutes or so.

If I am reading the comment correctly I think they're talking about the same thing I dislike about ALL modern trucks, which is the extended cab trucks with the small "suicide" door. Which I imagine was stopped for collision standards. But the Quad Cab rear door is too small in my opinion for the size of car seats these days. If they still made the suicide style door I wouldn't need a crew cab to fit my kids. The back seat was still smaller, but the door opening is the issue, at least for me.
