I have a 19 ram classic and just tried to install Acanii projector/led headlights (knock offs of the factory ram laramie/rebel style)
Passenger side works driver side doesn't. I swapped harnesses no change, if i plug the driver headlight into the passenger side it works, but if i plug the passenger into the driver side it doesn't. Put stocks back in everything works. Is this a canbus issue or a light issue?

If it follows the headlight, then it sounds like a wiring issue in the headlight.

Headlights now working, not sure what rhe issue was, but reinstalled and it works. Newest issue is the front turn signals work, then they don't. I get the bulb out notification onnthe dash, but then it clears and they work, then stop??

You are going to need resistors or use ALFAOBD to change the settings to let the CANBUS system know you have projector leds ....

The harness came with a supplied resistor . You can see it in the pic below?

Looks like the resistor may only be on the turn signal side, and it should be on both. Can add a other set of resistors or just get alfaobd and a kaodtech bypass harness and forget all that extra wiring.

Different setup but I ordered the same brand headlights. One side worked fine but the other was giving me a bulb out message for the turn signal and I verified it wasn't flashing. It was late and I didn't have time to deal with it. After a couple of drives and a couple of hours later the issue randomly fixed itself and the signals started working as they should. No issues since then.

Everything works with the key in the run position, when i start the truck i lose the turn signals. I purchased alphaobd, with no luck, forgot about needing a security bypass. Honestly the resistor route seemed easier. I did try a second resistor with no luck either. Has anyone had any luck rewiring the lights? I could live without the DRLs?

Is there a separate wire for the drl?

If you can, take a picture of exactly how you connected it all please .... for both of them and any harness that came with them that "YOU" have there connected .... we'll get to the bottom of this lol ...

So what is the actual current situation? Do your headlights work as they should (lows and highs) with the truck running? Everything should be assessed while the truck is running since when the key is off, it's not checking for faults. This is where alfaobd can be extremely useful. You can pull the trouble codes off the bcm and use those to figure out if it's a bulb or socket issue or just a bad housing. If your highs and lows work normally with the truck running, but you have no turn signals (you should atleast get a hyper flash), then it may actually be an issue with the housing. The fact that one side didn't work at all on either side of the truck tells me there may be a wiring issue inside the housing or in their harness.

Currently with the truck running everything works as it should, Except the turn signals. They do not turn on, and they hyper flash on the dash, and i get the bulb out message. If i shut the engine off, everything works including the turn signals..... i plan on pulling the lights back out an getting more details on the wiring itself. Hopefully tonight. Alphaobd is downloaded, and the security bypass cable is on order. I was hoping to bypass the drls for now until the bypass cable comes in. If not I'll have to swap the stock lights back in for now

Here's a pic if the supplied harness that came with the light. The Drl/turn switchback is the upper plug, the green wire is the park(drl) and it has no resistor. The brown wire is the turn signal and it has 25w 20ohm resistor. I did try splicing in a 2nd resistor on the green wire and it made no change whatsoever.

Ok, i hate to be the guy asking repetitive questions, but searching through 100's of alfaobd threads is getting old... headlights are almost there. After the bypass module and alfaobd purchase the lights are working. Only issue is when the lights are on the turn signals are not switching back. The turn signal flashes over the white drl . I've tried several settings in alfaobd, but maybe can't get the right combo
Turn signals set to led yes
I've tried turning dedicated drls on and off, drop out on and off, what am I missing?
Again it functions normal in the run position, and when the engine is running it works correctly with the headlights off, in auto or on starts the problem of no switchback, orange turn signals flash over the white drl

Set your drl to turn signals. When I made changes to the drl function, I'd have to let the truck sit for an hour or 2 before the changes took effect.

Is that it? No changes to the DRL configuration, or drop out?

Try it. When I made the adjustments for drls and turns on my truck I had to let it sit for an hour or 2 for them to finally take and not set off error codes.

I guess it's as good as it can be. I turned on drl at the turn signals in Alfa. Cycled the key a few times and went for a drive. In the run position the white drl turns off when the turn signal is activated as it should. When I start the engine it stays on. In park I have the white drl, in gear it switches to amber, with the lights on (in auto or manual on) the drl goes back to white, and that's when the turn signals flash amber over the white. For some reason the switchback function isn't working. Maybe it'll work itself out. Short of tearing the light apart to get to the internal control board I don't think there's anything else to do. Is there an Alfa setting to be able to turn drls off in the radio like my Grand Cherokee has?

Do you have the drl dropout enabled? Is your drl powered off a fuse tap?
