Thanks to the TheBuilderMan for the tip about Mark Dodge. I ordered my 2500 through Renae. Everything was fairly simple.
Has everyone here that ordered a new truck been required to sign an agreement not to sell the truck for 6 months. Renae said it was required by Stellantis for all new vehicles. That is a first for me. It's not an issue but, I thought it was odd.

It may be that, the dealership that you dealt with gave you a damn good deal for the current conditions.

They don't want you buying it from them & then turn around & making a profit off of them.

In 6 months everyone hopes that conditions will change, mostly the computer microchip scarcity

Prices will go back to normal when the chips become readily available
In 6 months, they will have figured out how to clear the shipping ports of ships on standby, mostly at Long Beach & Los Angeles
That is where all the fancy electronics, ( EVICs & Radios ) for new vehicles is located, on a ship or 2 Off Shore

Rumor has it Ford is building/converting factories into making their own ECU's/sensors/radio's etc so they aren't dependent on other companies as much. IF (and that's a IF) the rumor is true, it's about time. Ford building Ford stuff, Mopar/Stellantis building Stellantis stuff, GM building GM... none of this Ford/GM transmission parnership that builds crappy transmissions (I had a 6speed that was utter garbage from that marriage). I bought a Mopar, I don't want to buy a Mercedes based Challenger...

Rant mode off.... we return you to our regularly scheduled programming

Ford has to develop something
Look how many Electric vehicle Factories that they have here in the USA, Canada & through out the world

The thing is, even if they had the perfect building already erected,
developing the machines & getting them in place would take at least 6 months

Intel has just recently been looking for a place in Arizona to build two Microchip Plants & decided to build them in Chandler, Arizona
They hope to sell their product to APPLE & AMD

Samsung has a plant in Austin Texas & they are about to build another one close by in Taylor Texas, it will not be in production until mid 2024, the chips will be very advanced & likely won't be used in ordinary vehicles

Actually it would have been a good deal pre Covid and it's a unheard deal today.
And thanks for your input. I have learned a lot reading your posts.

Ordered my 2022 Ram 3500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 6' 4" bed single rear tires. I ordered single because I spent too much on tires for my 2003 Ram 3500 HO Cummins's (had 49,000 in 2019--I know it's just moving numbers around at the dealer, but I paid 53,000 for it and just got 19,000--while at the salesman's desk I could see someone was talking to salesman, and getting out of my truck, (if you did not notice tags on truck you would think it was brand new) as we were closing the deal on my 2019 Ram--I'm 99% sure it was sold before we left the lotas I saw them both return to salesman's desk) I absolutely loved that truck. Back to the point--my 2022 cost $83,326.00 with tags taxes etc. to be added.
Sad story-spent a 1 1/2 at dealer picking out options at dealer (picked them all at Dodge Ram site but there were different at dealership-some things became standard, some were added to packages, and some removed from packages) --When the total came, I asked salesman what discount he will offer me because I wouldn't pay sticker for any of his 2022 Ram 3500 on his lot now, nor would anyone else. Well, I think he thought I was crazy for asking such a dumb question and said "let me talk to my manager" (just like the commercials) -- returned and said nothing-no discount. I advised him of 2 others, very well-known dealerships within 15 miles of his and I am going to all 3 today for the best offer. He said good luck and I said--you know ???? is going to offer a discount, right? (His most well-known competitor) to which he replied, "yea I know they will". Well, their competitor did just that and took off $1,500.00 instantly. That was all I hoped for BEFORE truck arrives. Idiots-COVID must have gotten to them or there is NO profit in selling ordered trucks, yea that must be it -no profit.
Any way ordered Nov 18th--Dec 1st got vin--Dec 10th told delivery will be January 12th--while I'm out of the country--FRUSTRATING----

I had to sign it too, but i also ordered via Renae.
I ordered 2022 Limited 2500 Diesel from Mark Dodge on Dec. 29th via the Sales Manager Otis. Great guy to deal with in making this purchase. I too had to sign the paper stating not to sell it for 6 mths after purchase. No worries there, lol!

Look like we ordered the same truck, me a few weeks before you. Will be interesting to see which shows up first based on options ordered.

As of yesterday, my VIN was not appearing in the FCA lookup. As of this morning, both my VIN lookup and window sticker both appear. Getting closer now.

I received the news that mine shipped on 12/26. Still waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully, it won't be much longer.

Got my build sheet today. Ordered on October 25th. Dealer says should go out for delivery on Wednesday. That sounds about right if it takes 2 days to build a 2500 limited and the build sheet gets produced once they start building. I real question next is shipping time from Mexico to Chicago.

Where do you live? Is there an estimated time? My 2500 is being built as we speak in Mexico.

I ordered a 2500 in late October and got a FCA lookup build sheet today but no window sticker. I don't know when that normally appears.

Dealer just told me that my truck has an estimated start of production of Feb 2nd. Thats with an order date of Dec 8th

2022 mega cab Limited CTD

Edit; based on the estimated start of build of Feb 2, approximately how long would it take a 2500 to land in Louisiana?

North Texas Area. No estimate - the dealer just provides the current status and I don't blame them due to things being so unpredictable.
