Bought mine about 15 years ago. $1200 plus $600 to have the local rep install it.

I installed a Tuxedo 9000 Ibs capacity two post floor plate lift. Works great, no issues. We did the install ourselfs. When I had my shop built, we had planned on lifts one day. So the floors in the area's of the lifts, were poured 8 inches of reinforce concrete. This current shop is currently full with all our tools. So we are planning on building another building just for vehicle storage. And a paint booth on the end.
This building will have two to three lifts in it.

I installed my 2post 10k lift 10 years ago. I just wish I’d have sprung for the 2’ extension as I’m 6’3 and have to crouch a little on some projects. Lift is worth its weight in gold, though.

Yup. Had mine up for about 8 years now, wishing I had done it sooner having lifts at work where I'm not allowed to work on my own stuff then having to work off the ground at home wasn't cutting it any more
Got a screaming deal on mine via CL and it's like a brick $#1t house compared to current offerings except for a mohawk. I have an old weaver 2 post
They were bought out by rotary brand.

Hands down it’s the best thing I’ve invested in. I boxed one side of the garage, it’s a small garage attached to the house. Measurement from floor to ceiling in the tray 12’ then to peak 15’. The garage door has to be closed in order to stand underneath and I do have a jack shaft opener. Had a company installed forward lift 8K measurement 103” wide, I wish I would have went to the next side up. It’s a pain to do suspension work on a 4 post fyi…

For those of you who with an ordinary garage, don't have a high enough ceiling, don't want to spend a fortune, and don't want to have to install a full-sized lift, there is still an answer.

I have one of these:

1641826791728.png

It's a Quick Jack 7000TLX and costs less than $2K. It will handle 7,000 lbs. (actually a lot more). It lifts my 1500 like it was a toy and gives me plenty of room to work underneath. It's rock-solid, the truck doesn't budge when lifted. It's portable, so when I'm done with it I just set the left and right sections against the garage wall one on top of the other.

It runs off of a hydraulic pump which is also portable.

I've owned one of these for years and it's been incredible. If you don't have a garage that can handle a full-sized lift or you don't want to spend the money for one, this is the next best thing.

Check this video about the QuickJack lifting a Raptor, not the best video about it and she's using it wrong, but I thought you'd prefer to watch her rather than another bearded guy making a truck video.

If you're worried it's not safe for the weight of a RAM, then watch this. It's the 5,000 lb rated version safely holding the weight of four full-sized trucks. These things are way underrated.

^^^I like it. How heavy is each side to move around?

Edit: I see on the link the frames are 98 lbs each.

Shipping must be expensive for 300 lbs I would think.

I am in Canada so I expect I will be bent over and violated for shipping.
You can get them here locally. Have not compared local price to U.S. plus exchange and shipping. My 4 post Lift King that I bought in 2005 was cheaper by far to buy here than to get the equivalent lift out of the States. I never did figure out why but I saved over 40% and the local dealer did the setup for free.

Not sure. If I stand up on the hoist my head is still below those cross beams and I'm 6'5". There is 2 metres (about 79") clear under the rails too. This garage was built to eventually have another level in it, you can see the double brick ledge to the left of the hoist about level with the top of the window with the blue tarp over it. Idea was to put beams across at that level and then put a floor on it. It was just going to be an office or a Gym or bedroom but never needed it. The height isn't the issue here, it is the length. The HJ Holden Premier sedan (similar dimensions to a late 60's Chevelle coupe) only just fits between the barrel of the roller door and the back wall, maybe 3" clearance at both ends. The Hilux (Australian/Thai/South African version of a Tacoma) won't fit with its tow hitch in place, with it reversed to almost touching the wall it clears the roller door by about 2". The Ram 1500 doesn't fit in here, it has to go in the shed behind the house and when I sell the Hilux this year I'll probably park my Bobcat skid steer and ride on mower down here under the Premier.

These Tuff Lift hoists are made in Asia but they are pretty good quality, nowhere near as flimsy as some of the really cheap ones. Here is the Aussie website, the same thing is probably available in North America somewhere.
