So what I’m looking for is to add the following: subwoofer that goes under the rear seat, an amp to push woofer , but I don’t want to lose my factor head unit.
If someone is sealing the woofer, please feel free to hit me back other than that let me know or show me your mods. Thank you.

Hey MuleDawg,
I've got a 2018 1500 Crew Cab and I put (2) 12" Tezla subwoofers under the rear seat. I used a sealed FoxBox specifically made for the truck and I also installed a 1600 SoundDigital amp. My truck is a "Limited" trim model so I have the 8.4" head unit which performs fine for what I wanted. You didn't mention if the truck is a reg cab, quad cab or crew cab and which radio you have. To answer your question - it's no problem installing an amp and a suborder the rear seat and keeping your factory head unit. You just need to decide how big of a subwoofer you want and then get an amp strong enough to push it. I also changed all the door speakers, dash speakers and overhead speakers and have a second amp for those. I would also consider looking at some sound insulation otherwise you will have some rattles with the bass - plus it will make the system sound better if you ever decide to replace factory speakers. Good luck and have fun.

I’m gonna look into find the sub boxes as well as amps. Do you have any suggestions on where to get the boxes for the subs from? Thanks again

Convert, for now.
Engine
small
I had this, single 10" with 200 watts, did plenty, and hooks up to factory radio in about 30 minutes.
