Usually get around 21-22 just normal driving combined town/light highway. However, if I'm on the interstate doing 75-80, it drops down to around 18.

2015 Quad Cab 4x4 about 20/22 MPG , with winter gas may go down to 18/19 mpg... On the highway doing 70.75 about 21/23 MPG . So I am very happy have a Full Size 4x4 getting 20 MPG Avg, And YES we know it is a truck and not Prius MPG lol

My latest fill up as of Jan 09, 22

Edit: 01-12-22
I see I didn't identify my configuration. I have a tradesman quad cab 3.6L with 3.21 gears and 2WD. Pretty much a bare bones truck.

Damnnnnnnnnnnnnn Great MPG.. The best I ever got was 23.4 or something like that and that was once ! And once in a blue moon I may see 23 mpg, but I rarely see that !
I do have a Quad Cab 4x4 w/ AT/S tires

Thanks! Rado, there is a secret to getting this. I really try to follow the laws of conservation of motion. Many drivers think there are only two states of matter. Accelerating or braking. Just watch the idiots in front of you. They either pulling away or wearing out their brake light bulbs! LOL. The best I've got a picture of is 28.6mpg but I don't count that. I look at the summary for a tank of fuel before I reset the trip meter. It is nice to know that I am getting over 500 (almost 600 here) miles on a tank though.

I agree how you drive affects everything ! I coast to a light and brake lightly when I do , I am easy on the gas , I am in Grandpa mode lol ANd We are hilly up here as well. But no matter what gas I use or how I drive I stay pretty constant !

Yes, we grandpa's have discovered through our vast years of driving experience that a 3rd state of matter exists.... coasting LOL! I know there are those here who will say the trip computer is overly optimistic. When I did a real gallons consumed vs miles driven I found that mine is .1 mpg off. Thats pretty accurate.

I do agree when I have done hand calculations I am pretty close to the truck readings . At most maybe 1 MPG off sometime almost spot on !
I think us Old farts tend to drive slower lol. Our street racing days are over,
The Senior Citizen Thread has tons of us old fart who drive slow lol

Locally, I am easy. If on the Interstate, unless U wish to be a part of roadway critter de jour (aka Roadkill), U might want to press down a lil harder on the pedal on the right, LOL.
IH 35, posted speed limits, 65-75, actual real world 70-90, and I am being a lil bit conservative. There is a tollway around Austin that Speed Limit is 85 mph, IMHO traveled more by PPL with monster movers, LOL. Seen more than a few Vettes, Ferraris and such on that loop running 100 +++. 85-90 mph plenty on RAM. My MC will got 125 (governed speed), but I think I wanna live another day, hee hee.

The tires on my truck are $240.00 a piece and no way I gonna go around smoking them, hee hee. OMG, showing my age? There was a time with 70's all away around, and a 4 speed and drop the clutch and instant mosquito manipulation, but no more. Cannot do unless play with puter ne way on RAM, but too much $$$ invested.

I use the CC on the highway, keep it in the eco zone, and get 23 to 24 mph. I think I average 21.5 mpg, 3.21 gears.

Right? I remember the days when $240 would cover all 4 tires and good ones at that.

FWIW, that's the nice thing about the 265/70/17's my 2019 Ram has. You can get decent ones for $120/ea. Not load rated or anything fancy of course.

OK, guess I will show my ignorance!! What / where or how do I find this "eco zone" that I see mentioned from time to time in various threads?
On topic, I have exceeded 700 miles on a tank of fuel several times with my Pentastar powered RAM. Yes, I have the fuel tank option.

Even after owning this truck for almost 4 years, it still amazes me. I'm begining to think the warmer the weather the better gas mileage it gets. This was snapped on my way to work thursday. It has shattered my previous 28.4 top number by .8 miles per gallon. All I can say, is I leave a following distance in front, and don't gas/brake like most lemmings that just follow the butt of the car in front of them. I look down the road to anticipate slow traffic and coast to it. The benefits are less brake shoe wear, transmission wear, tire wear and phenomenal gas mileage! I'm wondering if as I approach 20k miles, the engine is finally getting broken in. As I haven't really driven any differently in a few years, I can't explain this high mileage happening now any other way.

I have a tradesman quad cab 1500.
Factory 17 inch tires, standard suspension. 2 inch rear spring lowering kit.
Trifold tonnou cover
I run wally full synthetic 5w20 and a mopar filter.
Change oil every 3000 miles.
The wally oil is cheap, almost the same as conventional oil.

On that meter I have hit 30 MPG for short burst! But the actual mpg on mine is a average20/ 21 MPG. Lately 23 mpg 3.21 gears 4x4 Quad Cab ! I assume that this is from out Summer Gas or has less ethanol ! With winter gas I average 18/20 mpg
I use 100% Synthetic oil every 5k

Yeah I quit the burnouts too. I had an old Chevy that I lit up like crazy. I did some righteous burnouts often not too long ago. One trick I did was to stop in the grass about 50 ft. from the road I lived on. I floored the truck and with engine screaming, the tire spun in the grass, showing 60-70 mph on the odometer. The truck would slowly move toward the pavement, then as soon as it grabbed onto the edge of it the burn out would go for almost the length of a whole block. Its a wonder I never busted a rear end or trans. LOL
