Got into ham radio in early Dec, 2021. For a mobile in the truck I bought a VHF 2980R Yaesu. In the process of building a mount for the radio in the front tray of the center console. Leaning towards a lip mount for the antenna and mounting it on the passenger rear door. I will not drill holes in the roof and don't think there is room between the hood and fender for a RAM specific fender mount. I have a Retrax bed cover. I will drill the bed cover if I can see a picture of an antenna installed on the bed rails. For right now until the weather warms up some, will probably use the mag mount I have. Anyone provide some help including pictures of how you mounted your antenna?
