etorque is first problem..hope you have no others.Hello. I was hoping my first post would be something positive like how much I am enjoying my new, beautiful truck. But no. I picked up my 2022 Laramie Hemi-eTorque in November. I immediately noticed the start/stop system did not work. It would say "Not ready" with no other explanation. After waiting a month to get into the dealer, I found out it was built incorrectly at the factory. The truck was given the wrong computer (basically). Now Ram is dragging their feet and my brand new truck is sitting at a dealer going on week 2. This is my 4th Ram and the first time I have had any issues. I am bummed out and regretting the eTorque very much. I figured year three they would have the bugs worked out. I was wrong. To make matters worse, they do not have a loaner car to give me. I am self employed and have no indication on when problem will resolve. Rant over.
I too have a 2022 Laramie with the eTorque and equipped with the Start/Stop option. I do use it and can never really tell when it is...or is not kicking in. It's that seamless.Hello. Thats what I was going to say. Go to dealer ask to go to truck so you can get in glove box to retrieve the lemon law brochure. Every state is different but I think they have a limited amount of time to fish it.Check your lemon laws.
A lot of folks seem to be asking why can't you drive it while waiting for service?I do. I spend a lot of time in city traffic. Also, I want the truck to work as intended. I don't want to have some unforeseen problem down the road.
I feel your pain. Everything is delayed. I hate that feature to start with. Should be able to turn it off and keep it off. But you can’t. I could have gotten a etorque but opted for regular hemi. Very satisfied so far. I do have the 12 inch screen problem that can’t be fixed. But other then that love itHello. Good Luck Craig…..The dealer has opened a "STAR" case and being a software issue, the truck has to be checked into the dealer when so the dealer can talk to Ram when they call. Although, they admit they have never seen this and nobody seems to know exactly what to do.
Show me any car dealers service department that cares or who knows what they're doing. If you can, it will be the first one I've ever seen in my life, and I'm an old dude. And, if you think they care, they've buffaloed you, too.I should have added that Ram Cares is absolutely worthless. They opened a case, called me the first day and then nothing. I called him today asking about my case, you could tell he was reading a script. Disappointment and frustration is now becoming anger.
I sold my 2012 Ram with 140,000 trouble free miles for this truck. I needed the extra towing and payload for my travel trailer. I would love to have my old truck back right now.
You know, I hear this a lot. I don't agree, I have found a fair number of excellent dealers who really do care about their clients. Almost without exception they were single dealers, locally owned, not part of one of the Mega groups that own multiple dealerships and a range of makes, but good dealers still exist. I could go back over the 50 years I have been driving and list off the great dealers but most would say that was the good old days.Show me any car dealers service department that cares or who knows what they're doing. I had that conversation with Ram Cares yesterday. I told them to fix it by the end of the week or want a new truck or my money back.
Mine is a torque but a 21 no problems so far but I have had problems with the unconnect and throttle sensor, and back up camera and rear sensors, after looking online found if you pull the f53 fuse the truck goes back to normal, went to the dealership and the6 didn’t have a fix for it yetHello.
